That was great, so many math tutorials are people just doing the equation out loud, I love how you slow down to verbally teach the problem.

So.... Technically, I learned quickly from watching this instead of listening to my Math teacher..?

I've learned Completing the Square a few different ways helping my kids, but this method is easier to learn and execute. Thank you for mixing in an easier problem! I would suggest checking your answers, which takes 5 seconds.

for anyone having confusion with the fifth step with the 4/3 thing, here's the formula used in that step: (x+y)² = x²+2xy+y² or we can write it as x²+2xy+y² = (x+y)² So, here is what he does (at 3:00) : =x² + 4/3x + (2/3)² =x² + 2*2/3*x + (2/3)² =(x+2/3)² Tell me if it was too confusing.. 😅

This is a very good example, thank you for making it. I studied Quadratic Equations in the late eighties, and I never saw this way of solving X; however, this method is totally inefficient. I solved this equation using the quadratic formula in only 4 steps, then I watched your video to check if I had resolved it correctly (I haven't solved anything like this in over 30 years), and I got it right, as I said, using the formula in only 4 steps.

many schools have different ways of teaching and i found this out harder than what my school teaches but i learned a new way of complete the square :) thanks!

Great method. This can just as easily be solved with the standard formula for quadratic equations, but I've learnt a new method today! Thank you!

I am have learned about three methods to solve the quadratic equations. What would be a good purpose to learn this method because it does seem longer. Not knocking the video just wanted to know because I am sort of new to math (self studying). The presenter did an excellent and thorough job.

1:37 those who didnt understand let me explain Once u get the coefficient as 1 for the variable x2 a third term is also needed and to find the third term he divided the middle term by 2 and then squared it
