Scientific Calculator Tutorial. AS Maths / GCSE maths - How to use a Casio FX-991EX Classwiz calculator to solve linear simultaneous equations. Ideal for checking answers.
Maam i am from Bangladesh, In our country this type means casio fx 991Ex calculator are not found and the company become stop making it, so plzz can you send me this calculator , its serious am a admission candiadatestudent, when u will see my comment plzz rply and send me, i am free found of this calculator 😥 @helenmathstuctor
Glad the video was helpful. I used the negative sign, which has the symbol (-) when entering the negative y coefficient of the second equation. You will be able to see the button that I pressed to do that directly to the left of the piece of paper on the calculator keyboard. :)
If the calculator isn't giving you finite values a likely reason is that the simultaneous equations you're trying to solve are for a pair of parallel lines. Parallel lines meet at infinity hence your infinite solution error. Hope this helps.
@@helenmathstutor The equations I have are specifically 0.2x+y=180000 and 1-0.1y=200000. So when I input the coefficient of x and y, it gives me math error
I don't think there's a way to do it on this calculator. Sub the first equation into the second and then solve the resulting quadratic equation is how you do it on paper. Good luck!
