I know I'm four years late to the party, but this was honestly the best tutorial I've ever seen. I always knew how to solve up to the yellow cross but I got fed up trying to solve for the rest of the cube. After over 5 years I decided to try again and found this video, and today I solved it!! I’m in my 40’s and I finally have solved it. I can knock this off my bucket list. I can do the other 2 layers pretty easily. The top layer had me stuck for a while. Now I just got to practice it a few times.

Why Is there 1.2k dislikes☹️. This video is the only video Ive seen that made sense on how to solve the top layer. For those who disliked hate to break it to you but this may be the only video that gives you full repeated steps to help you understand the algorithms for the final layer. the video is well done. i watched all of it and hit like, but i don't think this is the easier way to solve the last layer. i assume that's where the dislikes come from. if you're keeping the yellow face on top, the moves you execute are reversed from what you already used on the rest of the cube. it takes fewer moves, but i'm looking for the easy way, not the fast way. how i learned from other videos, you have to do a lot more moves on the last layer, but the brain goes in full auto mode and you complete it faster, without much thinking.

Hey, I am from India and I learned it in 5 to 6 hours. I found this tutorial the best rubix cube tutorial on youtube. You are the best. I was able to understand you more than Indian tutors who taught in Hindi. I know and love English but it is difficult for Indians to understand a foreigner speaking English because of their tone but you were super duper amazing and I loved the 'algorithm' very thanks to you. I am a 12 yr old and now I could be proudly be able to tell my friends that I can solve a rubix cube. Most video tutorials seem to forget that the people solving cubes for the first time do not know the algorithms off by heart and most will not remember them for their first few solves, This is one of the only videos I've seen where the creator actually remembers what it's like to solve a cube for the first time, The last layer is where I got stuck after using the wiki and multiple other videos, This was the video that really got me to get my first solve and then many after that. Thank you for the video, not looking for competitive, but just consistently solving and had a really hard time with 3rd layers due to the guide I've used (some pop video) being overcomplicated at this point. Your approach helped me see a less complicated easier to remember way that now allows me to solve a cube in around 2-3 minutes and finally putting it together consistently at every step.

Your final step rotation helped me solve my cube that has been giving me trouble for the past week! For some reason, after working fine for weeks, the final 4 corner step from J Perm’s video kept scrambling my cube. I must have partially solved it 30 times and only accidentally solved it once, but that one time was not even on the final step. At least I’ve gotten down to a 3 minute solve in the past week with all the practice! I’m excited to memorize your steps and show off my new skill. Thank you!!

I finally kept getting the first 2/3rds of the cube solved with ease, but the last layer always kept getting messed up when I'd follow other tutorials' instructions. As a beginner to the cube, the "algorithms" that numerous videos show in their solutions just end up being mostly confusing. This was more helpful on the final layer... Thanks for the step-by-step process without the algorithms!

Same. Got tired of doing Sudoku. This is the third person I've watched teaching this and I'll say this is the easiest way to memorize moves. I've solved it twice using a different method (JPerm) but need to watch his video for the exact moves depending on whether it's a cross, dot, or line. This guy doesn't twist the cube in his hand and so it's a lot easier. Also, a problem with the others is that you have to reverse the move depending on which side of the cube you are working on. That is harder to do in your mind. I screwed up a lot moving left when I should have moved right and visa versa. And the other method on the last four corners you flipped the cube over to the white side to solve and the moves are very complicated. With his method you just keep doing the same 4 moves until a corner is solved and flip to the next corner. No twisting the cube around in your hand.

Same. I struggled for 3 days using other videos, always messing it up in the last layer. I like how he explains the different permutations that can happen (getting a dot or L or bar) & how they’re in an order of what you’re trying to do. And I like how he really slows it down, so I can follow along without playing it on half speed 😅.

Thank you so much!!! I was trying to fix the cube on my own over the course of weeks and months without tutorials, watched a couple videos one time but they didn't really help much and I went back to the grind of working on it for twenty minutes or so almost every day and finally got the second layer done but that last layer is so difficult to figure out so this helped me a lot and now the cube is fixed.
