I speeded mine up by reducing the number of home screen to 1, deletimg all but essential apps, turning on the RAM boost removing all apps that were pre-reserving large amounts of RAM. GOogle chrome was the worst I replaced it with Samsung internet. The tablet now runs fine. The problem with this device is the lack of RAM you must ensure that you have the maximum free RAM you can before launching anything, over a gig is best.

My worked great! After an update about a year ago, it became slow. I've factory reset many times, but it stayed slow. I believe Samsung made it slower in the update
I have samsung tab A (8.0 2019) after last update which was August 2023. It became so slow. What should I do? Does installing a new SD card will fix that?

It helped me a little bit! The usual problem are those Samsung apps running in the background and of course the cache. Anyways, I hate that they make the devices slower with updates on purpose, just to make you get new one. It should be illegal.
I have a Samsung galaxy A7 lite. When i newly bought it in 2022, it was fast. Incredible speed and response. But after the last two updates, the latest being the One UI 6 update, this tablet has become slower than my brain after waking up from an afternoon nap. I have only used like 12gb of storage and system uses 10gb. I have 10gb free storage yet this shit still lags. I think the theory about the intentional lag causing last update of samsung devices stands true. They do this so that we would buy new devices every 2-3 years. Bullshit.
Bought a brand new, older 2021 Samsung A7 Lite tablet from Wal-Mart 3 months ago. Ran great until... the one and only Update that I finally gave into. It got progressively super slugish after a few days of use, following the update. Coincidence anyone, or is this a thing? Brand new tablet.
probably they try to convince you to buy another more expensive tablet by artificially slow it down. This thing is pure shit and I hate it every day I have to use it. But I will not supports such scam, never a samsung tablet ever again
Same as mine. I bought my A7 Lite last November 2022 and it’s slow as hell! My younger sister has the same tab same model but hers were faster. I barely use mine
Anyone who gets this tablet, please only use this for emails or the free Microsoft word installed, otherwise you're running a 2012 high end device. Which is a lie because my nexus 7 tablet still runs fine. Samsung just sucks.

@@skippy962 as of 2 months earlier i had that problem but now its fixed (no clue how) and the only persistent problem is the consistent sudden lag spikes within games (i play roblox) but it never like, freezes, etc... OH and idk if u have a galaxy tab with a stylus but do they use battery cause mine has never died and idk how to charge it if it does... ik u dont care but i like typing and im gonna tell u abt my tech problems so read if u rlly wanna so ive had the tablet problems as stated and now its okay, but i have a problem with installing games on my phone cause it says it'll install on my tablet even though i don't want it to 💀 my xbox also has multiple problems and will turn on randomly at night time and then shortly turn off after, sometimes i'll turn it on and it'll turn off after a few seconds or an hour or two randomly, it doesn't read any disc at all (this started randomly) and it is silent when it powers on, which also started randomly. i used to have an xbox 360 which turned on randomly too. two of them. two different types. my phone (when i download audio) wont play audio on file in the background unless it is played via spotify. i dont have mobile data, so when i go to school, i have to listen to it thru file. however this has proven to be a problem because i cant close the files app and keep the music playing. it just stops. i cant play it on spotify either, because that uses data. so i cant use my phone when wanting to listen to music. which, on my older tablet, doesnt happen.
