Solving Chicken Issues | Family Barn Building 

Hey Friends,
We're keeping busy building this barn in time for Maggie the Jersey to calf in September. Its a family affair and the girls LOVE to help!
Also, on the list is containing our flocks of chickens who have decided that the fenced areas are not enough for them. We're fortifying their diets (and tricking them into containment) using Black Soldier Fry Larvae from GrubTerra, a company with a pretty cool concept:
A little bit about GrubTerra: we produce black soldier fly larvae, which are extremely healthy for poultry and wild birds. Black soldier fly larvae are a good source of protein and other nutrients for chickens. They are about 50% protein and contain calcium, phosphorus, and other minerals. They are also raised on food waste, so every pound of dried larvae that is sold is 20 pounds of food waste that we are mitigating from a landfill.
