But what if the angles don’t have a solid number and it’s something like (8w-7)° and (7w+8)°

In a case like that...you have to set the expressions equal to each other because they are vertical angles. (8w-7) = (7w+8) Next, solve for x by getting the x on one side. Subtract 7w from right move to left. Add 7 on the left to move it to the right. That will give you w=15. 😊
