Respectfully, I think it would have been easier (probably wiser) to cancel the denominator by the multiplier on the left hand side of the equation.

Keep watching the videos, press pause, write down the steps and then move on. A new concept can take awhile to understand, but as you practice, it gets better.

My question is why do the longer method when you could have done the butterfly method 8 • 2 is 16 then you could have solved it throughout with that?

This is just the hard way to do it. You could just move the denomintor to the other side and blah blah blah n=22. This way is 9000x easier
