@@salumtummundi9462 Same process? The video presented different solution methods for different equations, rather than presenting a unified method that works algorithmically and systematically for all equations, and it did not explain why these processes work.

@@salumtummundi9462 Also, many of these are polynomial equations, not rational equations. By definition, a rational equation has to have non-constant polynomials in at least one denominator. Polynomial equations are obviously easy to solve, but those are not the ones people came here to get help for.

Its late but the GCF of +4x^2 -4 and -8 is +4 Now divide your GCF, which is positive 4 by (4x^2 -4x -8) 4/4x^2 = x^2 4/-4x = -x because the two fours cancel each other out leavin x and your operator (-sign) 4/-8 = -2 ( when your dividend (8) is negative you get a negative quotent (-2)

I commented on another video but this is actually what im having trouble with the one that started my fumbling is 5/(3x+9) = (x-3)/3 + (x-6)/(3x+9) From that problem on in my homework it just didnt click for some reason but the really basic ones i picked up easily.
