My strategery is: x^4 - 16 = 0; factor it and you are assured of all four roots.

Factor it (x²-4)(x²+4) = 0 x² = 4 or x² = -4 x = ±√4 or x = ±√-4 x = ±2 or x = ±2i

yes. it is called the Fundamental Algebraic Theorem ( in Complex Numbers).

Super easy and faster X⁴ = 16 X⁴ = 2⁴ X = 4√2⁴ (cancel the root and power) X=(+-2)

Because all complex numbers (other than 0) have precisely 4 4th roots. Gotta catch 'em all.
