oh my god I can’t believe I got styling advice from not one but TWO of my favorite youtubers!! thank you guys so much for all these great ideas for my old red docs ❤ I hardly ever wear them nowadays but even after all this time I’ve never had the heart to throw them out. now I’m extra glad I still have them, I can’t wait to dive into my closet and try some of these outfits!
OMG I couldn't have asked for a better video to have my piece included in (the alpine skirt)! I literally love both of you so much, you're my favourite fashion girlies! Love all of your ideas! You guys nailed my style and what I actually would wear, but at the same time gave me ideas I wouldn't have though of myself. I own many things similar to what you listed, so I'm already imagining specific combinations within my wardrobe. I love that I'll be able to re-create your vision without even having to buy anything new. Although I'm adding a blue gingham top to my thrift wishlist... I wouldn't have though of red or yellow as accent colors, but they'd look so cute! It also didn't occur to me to style the skirt with a sweater, but it's such a great idea. Thank you so much for all the inspiration! ❤❤❤
@@squad-tb6ph Aww, thank you! I actually found it in the discounted section of a thrift store. I'm happy to give it the second life it deserves, now that I have styling ideas form Alexa and Liz
Maybe it's a little dated style by this point but like... I feel like the skirt would look great with a Peter Pan collar? For some reason it's giving me Wes Anderson vibes. I'd pick pale pink, a knit tucked in, some kind of red accent... Any combo of these things?? It's such a cute skirt!!
2 out 3 of my favorite fashion/thrift RU-vidrs collabing??? This is such a treat!!! (Now if you two did a video with @KathleenIllustrated too and all of my top three were here??? I meaaaannn....)
20:03 as an eastern european girl (our winters are colder), i would wear a long-sleeve or a turtleneck under it with some colourful tights and socks + a sweater or a jacket on top. all of that under a winter coat with a scarf, naturally.
I'm the person with the first skirt and I love Liz's (and yours) idea! A white puff sleeve top is such a staple in my wardrobe, I actually own several of them. So the suggestion fits in perfectly with my style. Definitely excited to try all the combos!
This was so much fun. Loved to see the different ideas and also having my own ideas. I think it also could be nice to wear a flanel blouse over de jumpsuit or a nice sweater (in fall and winter)
That last top gave me so much inspiration that I just wanted to share in case it helps anyone. 1st outfit: firstly I'd pair it with a short white or red skirt, possibly a white or red buttonup layered underneath the top which would create more opportunities weather wise to style this top as well. I also think especially with the white, it would tie in the newly added colour of the skirt nicely (I love the sandwhich method when I make outfits). A short sleeved buttonup would also look really cute. For accesories I'd probably pair it with a red heart necklace or simple layered necklaces. Coloured tights could also look cool but I'd pick a solid colour as adding a pattern could look a bit too busy orrr white (or red even) leg warmers. For shoes, if you have white or red shoes I'd say go with that. Any type of shoe would work in my opinion. Sneakers, loafers or mary janes (heels 👀) would look best with the leg warmers. For tights any shoe, boots, loafers, sneakers, heels, literally anything. 2nd outfit: a short blue denim skirt (literally any denim skirt, it could be tiered, it could be tight, it could be cargo). With a denim vest (I loveee that idea!!) layered on top of the top. I would personally also add pins on the denim vest that go with the vibe of the top. So, anything with red, yellow or green. For accesories I think a denim newspaper hat would be really cute too. A red or white ribbin as a necklace. And coloured tights again. For shoes I'd personally pick brown loafers and pair them with white ankle socks (if you're not wearing the tights already) but again, any shoe could work. If you wanna lean into the denim vest vibes, cowboy boots could be really cute. 3rd outfit: green cargo shorts or skirt. It's summery, it's 2000's, it feels like (my) childhood. I'd keep it simple and pair it with sneakers, I don't usually love shoe trends but I gotta say that the adidas samba's would be really cute. Orr if you have them/like them, ballet flats could be cute, if you go with this, I would maybe tie a scarf around your neck or a bow. I'd also pair it with a barret for some reason in the same colour as the ballet flats. 4th outfit: a white tennis skirt or white shorts with white long socks and tennis shoes (sneakers). Maybe a white or green polo layered underneath the top. I would also to make it more sporty add a baseball cap, I think any colour could work. Okay, that's all the ideas I can think of right now but I am so jealous of the person that owns that top!! It's so cute! I hope this helped someone, it helped me get my ideas out at least haha.
This collab was soooo good. You guys both did such an excellent job and it was really informative to see the contrast in how you style things! Also that ruffle purse gave me a thrift flip idea. Next time I see a pair of cute ruffle pillowcases at the thrit store. I might totally make this purse!
For the baby doll top, my mind went straight to putting bloomers with the lace at the bottom, a long fun sock or frilly sock, Mary Jane’s, and a fall type head scarf/bandana.
Hey Alexa. Where is it best to send you the messages and photos for a Solving Your Style Dilema's video. I once sent a message about a year ago to hou on Instagram, but I don't think you've seen it still. Is emailing you better instead? Just need lots of advice for me about outfit ideas atm.
When I post on my instagram stories for submissions, you can re-submit your piece! There are two pieces featured in this video that were technically sent a year ago, but they just sent a reply to the instagram story that they still need help with the piece! ❤️ I get so many amazing submissions that unfortunately I can’t do them all in one video 😭
I keep seeing a TikTok trend of styling yourself according to your Venus astrology sign and doing your makeup according to your rising sign. Can you please do a styling vid related to astrology?
Loved this video, so many great ideas! I liked pausing it on the item to think about what I would style it with then seeing how similar or different that was to you and Liz.
This is such a fun idea to do with another person because you get to see different takes on how to style it! I would be super interested to see you do a collab like this with madeyoulooks (jade fox) because your styles are so different so it would be fun to see like SUPER different takes on how to style something :)
as someone who is also from wisconsin and who wears jumpsuits, I can confirm that a funky long sleeve underneath makes all the difference! that and my favorite pair of docs is always my go to way to wear it
omg the first outfit with a red top and the brown vest liz picked would be so cute, i like that theres a tiny bit of red in that skirt, whoever owns it is super lucky! its beautiful
This was fabulous! Seeing the different styling ideas gave me so much inspo! ✨ Please make this a series where you collaborate with different fashion youtubers!!! 🫶🏼
