Human rights activists and Somali community leaders say female genital mutilation, also known as FGM, continues in the East African nation, despite global efforts to stop the practice which experts say has long lasting physical and mental implications.
Reporter Najib Ahmed has more in this report which was narrated by VOA’s Anthony LaBruto.
