Not sure if he has addressed this, but what about the difference in how the puck is going to react with the full glass vs the boards and glass. I feel like if behind one net is going to be full glass they both have to be. The puck will 100% bounce differently

If they are regular dividers that are used above the boarded sections like most rinks use, the puck is most definitely going to hit one and bounce right back out onto the floor. It’s might make ringing the puck around the boards very interesting!

@@fearless9704 It's been yrs since I have played, so I am out of the loop on rink tech. It seemed like it would bounce oddly off the dividers. Glad to hear it has worked elsewhere and hopefully it doesn't cause too many issues at his rink here.

Super similar layout to the rink in my hometown which has since shut down. Skate-mor in paso Robles California. It was also inside of a warehouse which was part of the county fair grounds and used for booths where they sold all sorts of dumb shit every summer. Had cement floors and classic nachos with cheese. It was so sick. I worked there as a referee when I was 16-18. Good old days.

Looks fantastic, great job by everyone involved. Did you consider installing a few UV lamps in the roof ?, it would make colors absolutely pop, some hockey kits would look so good with it.

The floor to ceiling glass is sick but quick question did you guys run tests on them. Would love to know the info from a math / physics perspective on if the longer length of glass puts it more at risk of shattering especially on say body checks with so much force in a single area.

Excited to play in the tournament, but if adult leagues are getting pushed back only a month, why did the tournament get pushed back 3? the new dates are in the middle of state wars, so now we kinda have to pick which tournament to play in considering we were going to travel to you in columbus for your tournament, but state wars is held in our hometown

I know I'll be ignored, but you should have installed the tile floor down first then the boards on top with space cut out around the concrete anchors for the floor to expand and contract. The Stilmat floor expands above around 72 degrees and shrinks below, you will have gaps or buckling depending on how well you can control the temperature of the concrete. Also your refs will not like getting pinched in the play on the full length glass without having that edge to prop themselves up on to get out of the play. Awesome that a new roller arena is happening, but I hope you've done your due diligence.

Have you considered wiring in the scoreboard? Our barn constantly has problems with the wireless not working and they finally shelled out way too much money to wire it in after the fact
