Thank you so much. if only you had been my electronics teacher. I learned so much from this,a lot about nothing from my teacher.I'm no expert. but I was always told dry joints dull-looking solder could be a fault too needing resoldering.
Hellow Kev,this is only the time I tried to open your channel its useful to me because i`m a bigenner in electronics its great video to know first before to attempt touching electronic component. Well, thank you & God bless

Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my close friend Aubrey after many years got astronomical success with it.
Good to brush up on my electronic know how. This was handy. I already knew most of these but the warming up on a cap thing I didn't know of the crack solder I didn't know how severe it could be til now. I may be able to fix an xbox that keeps blowing its power supplies a bit easier now albeit the power supplies seem to still work even after being blown seems it I cannot fully test them the fan still works in them.
I have an 80's classic synthesizer. A Roland Juno 106.I bought it for £35 with expensive flight case second hand. The Synthesizer wasn't working properly.. I found out that this particular synthesizer model had the same problem as most. A bad component that short circuits and at the time used cheap capacitors. covered in resin. the resin was the problem. it cost me over a £100 to get fixed professionally, but now it is worth around £1,500 so well worth buying. I wasn't going to mess with it myself, as I had no electronic experience at the time, and also the safety issue. just goes to show getting into electronics, can save you money, but also the potential to make money.
hey i am a young electronic i build little electronic things to make to make money. i am form Jamaica i need a lot more experience in the any component
I have a power supply of an old record player. It read 36 volts yesterday. When I put a small motor to it, the motor ran fine, I could tell the ps was less than 1 amp. The next day it suddenly only reads 0.07 volts. I haven't done anything else to it. Does that mean it is a bad cap (16v)? Btw, I have 2 of the same boards and now they have exactly the same problem. The caps on both on them look like new.
Any advice on how to troubleshoot an intermittent problem (works most of the time) on a TV power supply that seems to be heat related (happens after TV has been on for a number of hours, and more frequently if in front of a sunny window)? All electrolytic caps tested ok with ESR meter. Didn't notice any bad solder joints. There are no burn marks on the board or components. Some components seem to have been glued together with some sort of adhesive, which has cracked with time, but the TV is not subject to high vibration, so that should matter.
I have a different kind of problem I need help with I bought a underwater ROV drone and my son broke the cord off only has black and white wire in it that cord needs to be somehow connected to a 4 prong connector I open up that the Box and it has red black blue and yellow wires not sure how to reconnect this?
Hi my sonic cleaner stopped working and I haven’t been able to find the fault. Thanks for the tips and if you can help me further I would be great-full.
Hi there, do you have any recommendation of "Electronics Repair" course in your country? Thanks in advance. I have some basic Electronics background and I don't mind to start off from a beginner level.

Very basic. I'm an HVAC technician, so I have general electrical knowledge but not specific to electronics. I collect vintage stereo equipment and would like to start working on some of it myself, and like I said maybe a second income stream.
I would hold off on doing it as a second income for right now. Where you are right now in skill level for repairing electronics for money you are not ready to have people pay for your tinkering. I would get a better understanding in theory of electronics and the things that you will be repairing before you do it professionally because your reputation is on the line. If you start to take on jobs to early in your journey and are not a seasoned tech yet you can set yourself up for some uncomfortable situations and failures. I'm not saying it is not possible but I would start small. Fix friends, family's and your own things and have them cover the cost of parts. Get the experience in different devices and how they work and how to identify different types of circuits and common problems. Go to the dump and hit up the old electronic recycling and get some free junk to play with. You will have to invest in some test gear as well. You don't need to get a formal education if you don't want to. The drive to learn is on you and how much effort/ time you put into it will determine your success. There is plenty videos and information right here on RU-vid when you need help with understanding things. I say this because this is not something you are going to just pick up overnight and start taking on work next month. Sorry to say. I don't want you to get discouraged but I think you need to figure out what you are capable doing before you put yourself out there. Who knows you could be a natural and pick it up quick. But knowing that gives confidence, and knowing what types of repairs you can do will sort out jobs that you cant do before you agree to do them. Hope that helps
Yes, very much. Thank you. I didn't really expect to start a business of it any time soon I was just thinking about someday down the road. I will take your advice and start small. I like your videos by the way. You make it look easy : )

Hi I am facing this issue. I have a drone's Tx and I soldered a new Alfa antenna the correct way, it worked. then I put hot glue on it to secure the connection. since then the Remote's power light comes on and then goes away in a sec, if I then immediately power it back on, then there is no light. However, if I wait for 5-10 seconds then again power it back on, the light comes up for a second. Here is a video explaining the problem : vimeo.com/290766738 Would you please help me out.
It to bad you don't show examples of what you're talking about. Otherwise, you post would be better for most people listening to what you're talking about.
