I agree Royal Mint issued far too many coins recently in a short space of time. At least one a week and sometimes 2. I wonder if it was anything to do with King Charles illness. Hopefully the releases will slow down and be kinder to the pocket. We are supposed to be in a cost of living crisis afterall. I am hoping that the Team GB for the Paris Olympics at least goes into circulation. We need more going to circulation so everyone has a chance to collect them.

Hi Chris, I really enjoy your videos and your dedication to collecting. Sadly without a business account I have to buy a lot of my coins on ebay. They're not too bad for circulated coins. 50p's around £3-5. I was very disappointed to see several sellers trying to sell olympic swimmer 50p coins for upwards of £1000. These are not rare and most sell for around £3. They add the tags "Super rare" to them to try and fool people. I understand when it comes to ebay, technically you can sell anything for whatever price you like but this is certainly scummy behaviour in my opinion. Have you ever encountered this and how do you feel about it? Maybe a question for your 10p hunts.

Please also be aware that there are counterfeit coins ( and UK stamps) on ebay.

If you notice the bags that are ripped open here are not bank bags, they are Post office bags, I went to 4 yesterday (small post office outlets are less likely) & 2 post office changed for me £250 of 50p's and the other £180 of £2 coins, they don't all provide this service and banks require a business account so banks will be far more difficult and not one bank provided to me this change service without an account with them. So yesterday best finds was 6 x Olympic 50p's including 1 Judo and about 30 assorted others but no Kew gardens, well not expecting that one. The £2 coins were similar to what was found in this video. But not too sure any profit can be gained by doing this keeping all those cheaper ones, it could be rewarding if finding the better more sought-after 50p's & the £2 commemorative coins. Afterwards to get rid of all those common coins is bag them all and pay into your own bank.

Is it a very common coin and I believe it will be face value but we can’t confirm as the mintage number hasn’t been released to the public yet so worth keeping until we find out the mintage of it if it is high😊
