My dear sister in Christ, seeing your sadness made me start to cry as well. The Holy Spirit in us will carry us when we are weak, He is strong on the days we feel we don't belong! Lean into Him. My mom went home last April. I'm probably just a tiny bit older than you (aka way too young to lose my mama) But what you said your pastor told you spoke to me- She wasn't mine to keep here! She is God's first, then mine. I needed that. It's been the weirdest life without her here. I know you know that feeling. Some days are still so hard, but I feel happy despite feeling like I never would again just over a year ago. Thank you for uploading about Luke, your story and your heart. You are so special!! I truly wish I could do more for you than just write a comment. Give you better support because you aren't in this alone, don't forget that either!

oh sweet sophie, I know how you feel and let me tell you it does get better! it is so painful to go through but you persevere through your trials and tribulations and you learn from what you go through. back in 2020-2021 I went through a breakup, experienced a friends suicide, had my grandma, dog and great grandma pass away in the span of 8 months. It was the hardest thing I had to go through, and I still struggle with grieving everything some days. but god is always with you through everything. you’re strong I know you will get through this. he has a plan, his plans are greater then ours even if we don’t understand. god bless, will pray for your healing.

It’s definitely hard to describe the physical symptoms of grief besides the sadness, but they are real. However the Lord has walked me through every single one of them, and he will for you too! ❤🙏🏻

This helped me alot thank you my grandma passed in April and right now I'm taking a break from college and focusing on my relationship with the Lord. Since her passing which also brought back grief of my grandpa's passing I've been falling behind with school and not able to focus or find motivation. I'm very sorry for your loss and I pray the Lord brings comfort and healing

After your last video, I watched Luke’s celebration of life. It was a beautiful tribute to a life well lived. He was a remarkable man and I can see why you loved him. My heart goes out to you and Luke’s family. Your church seems vibrant; is it mainly for college students and youth? I live in New Bern; I got the impression that there is not a live service here. Is that correct? We are 70 years old, so I didn’t know if they had groups for that age group. I am so happy to know that you are staying close to Luke’s family. And that you are allowing yourself to grieve, pray, reflect, and be creative. You are in my prayers.

I’ve missed your vlogs so much! Something about them always just gave me so much inner peace and calmed my soul. They just always connect with me, whether it’s something you do or something you say, something always connects with me 💞 I’m so glad you’re back 💞 The psalm in particular hit me hard. It really resonates with me. I’m in a hard stage in my life, and I have been for over a year now, and it feels like I’m never getting out and sometimes like God isn’t listening when I pray. But I need to remember to be like David, and rejoice despite that. That just really spoke to me, so thank you 💞 I admire you for your willingness to share the raw, hard moments with us in this video. Grief is so hard, and it was such a strong thing to share the day you had, especially since it turned out to be a harder day 💞 you are so strong, and I look up to you and admire you for that 💞

Hi Sophia, I am your new subscriber, and thank you for sharing this. I have lost my mom to cancer back in 2014, and still I cannot imagine the pain you're going thru, because every lost and grief is different. But one thing I know from my experience loosing someone we love the most, that grief is never really go away and it comes anytime. Yes most time, it is difficult and painful, but sometimes it comes in a way that is beautiful, you will be reminded about how gentle and kind that person was, and with God's guidance, you will feel inspired to be as gentle and kind and wonderful as that person was. It is never easy, but these days, I keep thinking to myself that whenever I feel sad and how much I need that person back in mylife, I believe it is God's sign for me to be better and grow that eventually the person that I miss will see it from heaven and feel proud of me. It is okay to be sad, because it's a normal feeling. And I dont think a person can avoid the feeling of lost and grief. But with God's guidance, so many amazing things we can learn from the person we love and miss the most, and those things are the things that should inspire us to move and be better, and I feel like thats the beauty of grief. I'm sorry for your loss and pray 🙏 God bring you through this soon but your going to have good and bad days for a while just try and keep busy and make plans with people who care about you and I know God will pull you through I'm praying for you and hope you want be sad long but grief is a process and some people go through it longer than others but in time it will pass not that you will ever forget but it will become a little more bearable again sorry for your loss

Totally know what you mean about grief physical symptoms, for me it was a tightness in my chest ( I now call my chest thing) which was constant and didnt go away for pretty much a whole year, but now it only flares up occasionally and im able to control it much better :)
