keep on top of the infection even if drugs make you feel crappy. since treatment so time consuming, is there any hospital housing you can stay in temporarily to be nearby and reduce your time in transit? stay connected to real world...breathe outside, feel the sun on you, look at the trees. be here now. you are living through this experience, as really ubelievabley unreal and horrible and surrealistic as a clinical trial can be. use your powers to see beyond this. you are living and we are watching and learning with you. your drs. and staff are all in there for you as are we out here. snack if and when you can. you look and sound strong even if you feel crummy. rest, save yourself for getting through. we'll be here. and dan, most of all, thanks for the updates. they are quality just as you are.

Dan, you just said it all. Medical professionals have found exactly what you have found in the aspects of fighting cancer or palliative and hospice care. Those with a huge amount of love to give, work in those positions. I was lucky enough myself and feel blessed with the patients I worked with in hospice care. I will tell you I had to "graduate" more of my patients off of hospice care than I ever imagined, and I see that happening for you!! It is the best feeling to be able to send those patients back out in the world. Much love to you, Dan. You are fighting the good fight.
Just want you to know I think you are a very brave man. Keep fighting as hard as you can because we all want you to live on till your about 100 years old. Maybe even longer if you can stand us that long lol You have captured the hearts of many people from all over the world. Your family is so sweet and you are very lucky to have them standing with you all the way. We have laughed together and cried together through this so when you beat cancer we are going to celebrate in style.

It pisses me off when religious people undermine the hard work of scientists in researching medicine and then doctors who oversea the treatment, and then you come along and say "it's a miracle." You're the asshole for dismissing the hard work of doctors. And you're life must be rough if you feel the need to believe in fair tales to make your life worth living.

These videos are so disturbing and surreal as a young man discuses his death as a fact that will happen , yet it will happen tp us all ,most disturbing is knowing when , I dont know how I would be in ur shoes ,
He doesn't know when he will die, giving someone a prognosis except at the very end of life. Research has shown that if you decide that that is how long and just expect it to happen you will die quicker than if you are positive and a fighter like Dan.
KC Lake He looks so healthy because he is strong and fighting hard, but mostly because it's still early. Terminal cancer just means it will eventually end with death (so the doctors say)...He started out as a healthy man, he's not just going to shribble up and die in a couple days.
Ohhh! Now I understand! Freddy!! I had aunt and she had ovarian cancer..I always asked her how she was and she answered “ I try not to think about it! “.she lived 18 years more than what the doctors predicted! She was a wonderful lady.. when she decided that she was ready to depart this world, she waited until everyone came to say see you later! She looked at my Uncle and reached up , took her oxygen mask off and said that she was tired and wanted to go home..about 5 minuets later she slipped away! She was such a dignified woman! I see people who are also fighting for their lives but they have no one for support. You do have an amazingly supportive family. In the over all picture...you are one of the lucky ones in that sense regardless of the outcome. It makes a big difference. Would like to see you bring awareness to the people going through this journey Basically ALONE.
Just came across this vid and watched some of your earlier ones and I’m so touched by your courage in the face of cancer. I’ve lost several direct members of my family to cancer and just send prayers your way for a miracle and wish you all the fun and happiness and love for however one you have left be it 6 months or 30 yrs! God lay your healing hands on this man and bless him with a clean bill of health.

There's a lot of guilt associated with being a caregiver. You're afraid you're not doing all the right things. You've given me a lot of great advice and I thank you kind sir. I agree with Ko&Ashana... thank you for taking us along with you. Sending love from Florida. I hope you know how much you're helping those who are fighting cancer or those helping support someone they love fight cancer. Can you tell us some things that we can do as caregivers that would make things easier for the ones we are trying to support? Are there ways to support you that aren't being done because perhaps they don't know you need it? My family is very independent so we never ask for help. So that leaves the rest of us scrambling to find ways to help and never really knowing if we are doing the right things.
Dan, tho i don't have your tribulations I have grown to love you for the wonderful, full of life man you are. Just as you love and admire the other patients there. I've watched knowing each failed attempt has not stopped you trying to live. I've watched you suffer even tho you barely touch on what you're going through. I've loved your silly side AKA as recent mustache and haircut, etc. I've watched your willingness to inform us about cancer. I've grown to be so fond of your family though I know their pain too. (Care took my mom who had terminal cancer) You are a SPECIAL & LOVING person. I'm honored I've gotten to know you. ❤️ Never give up! Heavenly Father, I ask that you watch over Dan and his family. I ask you give them comfort. I ask for a miracle that only you can deploy with the help of Dan's Doctors. Please remove Dan's physical pain. Please restore his health. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen

Awe Dan, you are such a inspiration for sharing your walk with cancer. There is so much love around you and I hope you can draw from it when you aren't feeling well or are in pain. There are a lot of people that understand what you are going thru by first hand experience or of having a loved one that has gone thru it. We KNOW what a brave front you are showing everyone and KNOW it's not a easy path. Keep your faith in the Lord and appreciate all the good people he is putting in your path, each one is there for a specific reason to help you on your journey. I can't say that I enjoy watching your videos because they make me terribly sad. I think of you often and include you in my prayers because I do believe in miracles. You're a remarkable and extremely brave young man, and I can't tell you how very much I admire you and your strength. You remind me of my dad, who bravely fought cancer with the best of attitudes when he was 49 and I was only 15. Perhaps that explains a lot of my sadness. But there have been a lot of advances in treatment since then and I feel like if anyone can beat this, you can. God knows you are fighting with all your might. Please hang in there and keep fighting - you and life are worth it. You'll continue to be in my prayers till you beat this.
I'm so sorry that your pain level is quite high. I love how you describe all the love and admiration that the other patients show and experience at the hospital. It's a shame that it takes something so horrible to induce people to be so loving and supportive, and that we can't just have that as the norm in this world every day. Imagine if we could... Your right buddy, it is a full time job fighting this ugly disease. Your in the fight of your life. But we are out here cheering you on. You have so much support and prayers that it has to matter. You do whatever you have to do to get yourself through this and we will all understand and support your reasons for doing it. I wish I could step in and let you take a break and get some rest from all this but unfortunately this is a fight each of us must do on our own and nothing can change that fact. But we don't walk through it alone and in that I can.say ..many walk with you in your journey. God bless you my friend.
