Thanks to modern cameras I get to watch the pros fly the heavy iron. I went the airline jockey route but my cousin flew on the Louisiana coast for PHI and Air Logistics. Thanks for the videos.
Yup... both by the hr and the day... but if that is a comment on the slow approach to the drop.. it's because it was very hard to pick up the actual fire generating the smoke due to the thick canopy and some wind.. also it was a pretty ugly fire line and didn't want to waste time on stuff too far into the black... but that is what the dreaded heli mopping is all about slow and smooth... turn and burn... and yes some days are better than others!!!
