As usual one more brilliant presentation. Pity many youngesters may not be aware of the rich contribution to the society by those lawyers like setting of schools, colleges, institutions like Vidya Mandir/ Vivekananda College/ New College/ SIET/ Library coding/ Bharadiya Vidya bhavan/ Pachaiyappa college etc
Interesting and even rare insight. I had spent my first 32 years i North Mada Street, Mylapore, which had an enviable number of lawyers, including K V Krishnaswamy Iyer and V Ramachandra Iyer, who went on to become chief justice. Down the road, it was full of lawyers. With Subbaraya Aiyar of Pelathope and K Balasubramania Iyer of Luz, KVK started the Mylapore Academy and Sanskrit College and Vivekananda College. We also had the RR Sabha. The lawyer-music nexus was a god's gift.
Sir hats off to you for this fantastic amalgamatory narration on LAW and Cultural facade ...I shed tears when you spoke about the GENIUS MR BASHEER...generally carnatic music is always seen a a dominant domain of Hindus and Brahmins....but MR BASHEER by his SHEAR VISION HAS CREATED A CARNATIC MUSIC EDIFICE CALLED THE MUSIC ACADEMY AUDITORIUM....MY HOMAGE TO HIM SIR...THANKS A MILLION TO U SIR....VIJAYASARATHY
I feel sri.sriram could have Written about Sri.T.N.Seshachalam iyer (1892_1938),BABL but turned a great tamil literature, ran a literary tamil weekly Kalanilayam for 7 yrs, wrote staged acted in Tamil plays,he was running night schools in different Places for Tamil etc.He was uncle of RKNarayan and father of Bharanidharan etc. T 83
Excellent research and speech. It'd help RU-vid's algorithm to keep this splendid video in recommendations if the description was more eloborate. Maybe the names of the lawyers discussed could be included.
Dear Sriram You have left out Mr E krishna Iyer , who was a lawyer , mylapore councillor , who was instrumental in rejenuvating bharathanatyam, as well part of music academy!! Why
