New to your channel.. have you found anything that ties tarot back to it originally being a book? I've heard that theory in passing, but not found anything solid yet.. There is an old Persian book of omens called the Falnameh I believe that was a picture book used in bibliomancy.
Hi firethorn. Not too much info out there on the subject and nothing conclusive either. But that's what makes the Tarot so mysterious! Ya gotta love it. Best to you and thanks for watching my channel! Vincent
I am buying all your books. Bless you for all the work you have put into helping people understand the Tarot, and your help to continue on a personal spiritual path.
I love watching you. I have been reading tarot for almost 20 years. I love how you speak about the Genius of the Tarot system! You are my favorite to listen to! Thank You for sharing your wisdom and helping the world to truly understand this beautiful deck of cards we all know and love!
Enlightening indeed. It strikes me profoundly sometimes that the fool (0) represents unrealized potential. Not yet savvy to the marriage of heaven and hell, or to the unseen forces acting upon the world around him, not yet a student of the mystical guidance of the supernal chiefs - he needs nurturing. What better way to represent the need of spiritual sustenance on a physical card than a spoon at the ready. His father might say, "you wouldn't even know what to do with a spoon if you had one. Go forth and learn to eat!" lol. Thanks for getting me thinking.
Nah, you're the genius Vincent ;-) Like you I just HAVE to know every fact about that symbolism...when you get stuck into Thoth it's astounding the work that went into it, lifetime study easily. Really enjoying your series here, please keep it going :)
Evolution of human consciousness as outpictured in the Tarot. 👍👍 How might ET influences appear in a Tarot reading? Has anyone figured that out? I mean the ongoing slow Disclosure is creating a steady and growing mass awareness of off-planet life forms and their involvement in Earth's evolution. So once more, "How might ET influences appear in a Tarot reading?" (I have yet to see a reader address that question.)
And what I don't get is how I am suppose to tell a story for the querent if I don't know anything about them...Should I trust the layout of the cards every time and go with the flow? Some readers are dead on my situation down to some specific details on RU-vid and I'm amazed how they got all that info from the cards without knowing me or my situation. Do you have any advice on that?
Good call on the air brushing Vince 👍🏼 lol thanks on behalf of all of us. I think ‘Pee-Man’ is featured on the cover of ‘Urination Nation’, a small magazine of the time... 😳
Hey, no joke I just asked my son if he thinks Vincent looks like anyone he knows and he took one glance and said, "Al Pacino!" LOL! Did you know that your Chicago accent is very much like Upstate NY?! I worked in a Bank Call Center for years and always knew that accent! Chicago or Upstate NY where I'm from! Had many, many ppl ask me over the years if I was from Chicago and are surprised when I say NY.... never been to Chicago.... Just a little trivia for ya!! Namaste
Thank you for your wonderful work, Vincent! I'm already learning new perspectives on the tarot via your wonderful videos & I just ordered your first book (can't wait to receive it). Great stuff! Personally, I read primarily with the TdM, as I find that it speaks to me much more consistently than any other deck and IMO it really lends itself so nicely to conceptual blending. The Dodal & Conver are my favorites & I have so many other types of decks but I always seem to gravitate back to the TdM. Thanks again!
I’ve learned so much from you! Fascinating info. I’m trying to find out what the red thing is on the chariot crest? It looks like a child’s spinner toy? I can’t seem to find an answer on google. Thank you
Hello Kathy. Yes, many people ask about that "thing" in the chariot. It is called the Linga Yoni symbol and it is Hindu origin. I think it stands for fertility and duality. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching my channel too!
You're so thoughtful. You seem to have the soul of an artist, poet, or philosopher. And, you have a vulnerability about you that is disarming and welcoming. Thank you for your insightful videos.
Wow...so much in these "simple" images. I am in my third year of learning tarot and only this month have become curious about the TdM. Your videos are really informative--thank you so much. I have all your books too. This learning never stops!
HI, I agree on what you bring to light and the similarities of the artist picture and the Fool Card. The second card you showed on the traveler/fool makes me think of the VII of Swords in the Rider Waite deck. The themes are the same, being robbed. There are "seven people" in the picture and on the far rear right back, looks to be a tent like the picture in the Rider Waite. The Rider Waite cards shows a man leaving with 5 swords, objects, stuff. There are 5 people in the picture having or searching for goods, yet two on the right side of the picture (two swords remain upright in the ground in the Rider Waite) seem to be holding hands and not participating in the robbery. Just my observation and would like your input. You make us think "out of the box". Great information and insight, Thank you.
sforza strength card Hercules and the neamean lion. type 2 marseille Called la force la being the feminine. The earlier type 1 noblet just say force no feminine. Look up hercules trials to see what he did to protect the Queen. from the minotaur. My bet is its Hercules dressed in the Queens clothes. Noblet was obviously a joker, later card makers didn't get the joke.
Not that I'm aware of. I would say it's a bad bet! Just a scam. It doesn't cost anything to place an ad on eBay. You could place an ad for a $5000 shoe-horn and see if someone is crazy enough to buy it. I've seen Tarot decks for sale that you can get the same exact deck at the store selling on eBay for $200.
