I was waiting for "I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS SHIT!! i'm... too old... for this shit..." but I guess we're not allowed to have nice things anymore because 2023. Though I can never get sick of hearing Rob saying "Heike Dreschler".
The one where he's that news reader; "always behind the same bloody desk, with the same f**king background, why can't I go outside? Like Peter Harvey, who has a deep voice like Barry White? And whats with the pause? Peter Harvey 1234...Canberra"😂
'No one thinks you're strong.' '... ... ... ... ... ... well I am...' Maybe my favourite line from the show. The thing is, though, Ed Milliband's 'Am I tough enouss... tough enough? H-hell yes I'm tough enough' line was even cringier and, incredibly, actually said by a real politician.
They skipped the bit with John Hewson pretending to unscrew a bottlecap with his eye socket. And the best two impressions were Yassar Arafat (when Rob opened his eyes wide, he looked like a muppet) and Desmond Tutu - especially the bit where he screeches loudly and the sound engineer (Santo) shoots up into shot and runs away in agony, clutching at his headphones.
This is good context to understand when Frontline try to recruit Clarke and Dawe (along with Clarke and Dawe being hilarious) I'm not imagining Frontline trying to recruit Clarke and Dawe to replace Elliot Reid am I.
Yep and it was a pisstake of Tutu's mannerisms and personality. Not nasty and in good humour. The fools like @shihadrocks don't recognise what is and isn't offensive. 'Blackface' in and of itself is not ipso facto offensive. How else are you going to impersonate someone if you are not going to go the trouble of looking like them
