The genius of Dunham is that you never think of his characters as puppets, but as real characters. Even when he messes up the spell is never broken. I believe that's what separates him from his peers.
Agree. The magic of what he does is how he is able to get you to perceive them as actual separate characters. It's really incredible. Also, the fact that he made ventriloquism cool 😎 😂
Jose Jalapeno's bad day is definitely one of my favorite all time clips! never gets old , and I never stop laughing at it no matter how crappy of a day I've had.
It might be something with the fingers on the corners of the mouth. I know on Sesame Street/Muppet productions they use all five fingers, wouldn’t be surprised if Jeff did the same.
Peanut is definitely my favorite of Jeff’s crew, he never fails to make me laugh with his humor. expressions, sarcastic attitude, and just hyperactivity, when I go see Jeff Dunhams show in a few months I’m so looking forward to seeing that wacky puppet,
These characters are hysterical, but I can't help but notice Jeff's facial reactions in response to things the characters are saying and doing, it makes it all the funnier! That's a lot of different things to be doing, but he does it all so well!
Peanut has always been my favorite and probably will always be my favorite. Spark of Insanity is still my favorite special. I can recite all of Peanuts lines by heart!
Pretty much everyone who isn't human like (ex: Walter) is an ex muppet who never even made it to the show for not being family friendly, Achmed and José included.
yeah I'm 51 and was diagnosed with ADHD, the Ritalin stops actually helping after a while. Then I found out that 73% of people diagnosed with ADHD actually have sleep apnea and that's why the drugs stop helping. 98% of those who have sleep apnea have low vitamin D levels. So the Red bull and Niquel reference totally makes sense, just waking up in the morning. My suggestion to you two is to get some sunlight and stop supporting big pharma just for a bit, and see how it goes. It won't be a huge difference at first because Sunlight's vitamin D will take a while to work. But you can argue that impatience is a sure sign of what we're dealing with here. It doesn't help that our school system is patterned after Prussian military academies from two centuries ago. They didn't care if you got sunlight or learned anything except unhealthy obedience.
The longer I watch these performances, I completely forget that his stage partners are puppets. As someone who knows his craft, Jeff really knows how to put life into his semi-deranged yet colorful “family”: He gives all of them a background, a unique personality, and a certain kind of humor, that perfectly reflects the lives of him and the audience. Especially after he virtually showed us his workshop, I genuinely believe he had his work cut out for him, and his passionate effort to make us laugh. Keep up the good work, Dunham! 👌
Theyre all my favs if thats possible.each has his own way of making someone laugh.for me,laughter has a certain something that can not have a price tag. Etc.........
It just dawned on me. Peanut gives José crap for "being illegal," but he's not from the States, either. I wonder why José hasn't thrown that in Peanut's face yet?
Jose also mentions having a green card, whereas Peanut literally snuck into the US by hopping a cruise ship (meaning that he is actually “illegal”, not Jose).
Jeff: "you have a stick" Peanut: "what?" Jeff: *shows peanuts stick in his arm* Peanut: *scream* "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?: jeff: "thats how i controll your arm" Peanut: *grabs the stick with his mouth and violently shakes his arm around* *looks at other arm and moves it around* "well that explaines why that one sucks"

You need to go to a Dunham performance wearing a lime green wig and a purple shirt with the words "Authentic Micronesian" on it. I bet that would get Jeff's attention!
Peanuts hyper personality goes so well with Jeff’s calmer more rational personality that it makes it feel like 2 people on stage and not just 1 man and a puppet.
Who else here wants to see a animated sitcom of Jeff's puppets going through their daily lifes? Considering what they say what happens on stage it would be very good.
