I know this video focuses on Beyonce as a solo artist, but I am still not thrilled with how Beyonce backed up her father's mistreatment of other Destiny's Child members. I can't imagine how devastating it must have been for LeToya and LaTavia to find out they were fired via the video premiere of "Say My Name". Beyonce took after her father, then married a man who also has no issue with sabotaging careers. I can't tell if her compliance is rooted in trauma or if she believes the benefits outweigh the cons. How she seems to lie so effortlessly has me leaning towards the latter.

overrated af, not hating, its just facts. she also strikes me as a pick me and insecure. many women in tge industry are more talented and more beautiful. the marketing team she has is incredible, the push she had while in DC was unreasonable. many things she did aren't original ideas, she was known for copying. she said herself people didn't invite her to shows because their ideas would be stolen. I think she’s a talented entertainer, but i don’t get the hype. I know people who are living paycheck to paycheck yet they always seem to have money to support Beyoncé. Whether it’s buying her music or attending her concerts, they find a way. Ain’t no way in hell I’m paying that much to see her perform. I used to love her when she was in Destiny’s Child and when she released her first solo but she basically became an industry plant once her second album was released. Talented but EXTREMELY overrated to the point it felt like literally every little thing about her was being forced on us. Also, not defending sweatshops but a lot of these affordable name brand shops employ sweatshops. At the same time, these same sweat shops offer income to third world countries where job opportunities are very low. It’s such a complicated situation. Yes, these people are being taken advantage of but at the same time this is a better opportunity for them when there isn’t much available, which is why I try to shop small brands or local.

The issue is not about the fact that these companies use 3rd world countries. Although some people do have an issue with clothing being made outside of America. But the bottom line is, they could still choose to pay these workers 2 and a 1/2 dollars an hour instead of 50 cents an hour and still end up making hundreds of millions of dollars. Everybody, regardless of what continent they live in, deserves to be paid a livable wage.

RRG u forgot how Beyonce took credit for coining the term “Bootylicious” (shes on national tv on the late night show) when it was actually Snoop Dogg who introduced that term to the world. Beyonce says with her own mouth when asked ab the word “i dont know what i was thinking when i came up with that word.” This is a repeat offense throughout her career and one of the biggest reasons why i dont completely respect her as an artist. Shes smoke and mirrors. Her most soulful and artistic album-Lemonade-STILL wasnt written by her. I also question her directing credits. B's team quickly shut down when after B had Blue shortly afterwards she mentioned she was getting tutored to take GED because she don't want later in life for her children to know she did not get her diploma. I love some of her music though I'm not a huge fan. But over the years, she became too much. It seemed like she was always doing stuff to seek attention and get people talking. She built this giant ego due to her father pushing her to the forefront. I also find it sad how so many people in the business kisses up to her. And the media loves to uphold her at any measure. Ridiculous. And I don't see how anyone didn't notice that she gotten a "bigger chest size". Sad how she refuse to allow herself to age gracefully. Her and many women in the business.
