There are some issues with that with the legality of it and copyright. I am working on lead sheets that will be available via patron at some point soon though so keep an eye out for that.

Now and then I think of when we were together Like when you said you felt so happy you could die Told myself that you were right for me But felt so lonely in your company But that was love and it's an ache I still remember You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness Like resignation to the end, always the end So when we found that we could not make sense Well, you said that we would still be friends But I'll admit that I was glad that it was over But you didn't have to cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing And I don't even need your love But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough No, you didn't have to stoop so low Have your friends collect your records and then change your number I guess that I don't need that though Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now you're just somebody that I used to know Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over But had me believing it was always something that I'd done But I don't wanna live that way Reading into every word you say You said that you could let it go And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know But you didn't have to cut me off Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing And I don't even need your love But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough No, you didn't have to stoop so low Have your friends collect your records and then change your number I guess that I don't need that though Now you're just somebody that I used to know Somebody (I used to know) Somebody (Now you're just somebody that I used to know) Somebody (I used to know) Somebody (Now you're just somebody that I used to know) I used to know That I used to know I used to know Somebody
Hey Cory, wow if people really pay attention to this video there is a wealth of information in it. At first it just looks like another beginners video which to a certain extent maybe it is but, you turned what most of the other youtubers keep at two chords most drop the f. Then you throw plucking into the song and take the time to explain the pitches, you actually made a tutorial for someone that could have just started playing and you threw these other things in there that are for maybe intermediate players. I mean you cover everything from plucking ,to different strumming patterns, to changing chords a little faster, and chucking and the best thing is you explain why you're doing what you're doing. This tutorial is a lot deeper than it seems at first, and it's up to the individual players to decide which way to use it. Personally I don't exactly love this song but I know if I follow everything in this video step by step and practice it till I could I feel I Could play it blindfolded it will go a long way in my learning experience. Great job thank you very much.
Thank you so much! Your comment means a lot. I take pride in the videos I made as an educator and while they are not always perfect I try to take my experience as a K-8 music teacher and translate that into this platform. I’m so glad that you found it helpful! Best to you!
Hi Cory, I Started playing ukulele 3 Weeks ago. I taught myself by book, Don't have any music knowledge, not alot of Rythm in my blood.... But I Made it. ITS a great Song and your Lessons are great!!! Thanks alot! Do you think you could do a Depeche Mode Song? I'm excited in seeing new Songs From you! Tanja
I love the way you teach and with some practice I know I'll manage to play this song almost as good as you do. The singing is a bigger challenge for me though 😉. Keep up the good work, I'll check your Patreon page ❤️.
I have a suggestion on a tutorial :D can you please teach us an easy way to play ella fitzgerald's making believe because i cant find any tutorials on that song anywhere :
Hi Cory, thank you very much for your tutorials, they are a huge help for beginners like me! I'm finally making some progress, but I'm still struggling with the strumming pattern of the chorus of this song. I tried so hard to figure it out by myself but I have to ask if I'm doing it correctly. Let's take the first line of the chorus. Is it something like this? DD UUD DD UUD Am G F G ...I made a mess, didn't I? Thank you and keep up the great work :)
The patterns in this song are basically the island strum (D DU UDU) and a variation where you drop that last U. The tricky part is that you are changing chords in the middle of the pattern sometimes. Practice the pattern and get really comfortable with the chords (you should not be looking at the charts when playing) and then do both together. This may take time, but if you use a slower tempo that can help when putting everything together. So what you have written out is correct, but it might end up throwing you off of playing. Instead rewrite it with the pattern being the constant and the chords are what are a variable. Like this: D DU UD D DU UD Am G F G
It’s good to continue the progression incase you accidentally play the wrong note, if you are in the Am position then you will at least pluck another pitch that is still in the chord.
I am a beginner and facing a problem the thing is I am tall 6.4 and my hands are pretty big I get problem while playing g major even tho i got the largest ukelel available , do you have any suggestions or alternatives
You might want to consider trying a tenor ukulele! The frets are a little wider and that might help you! Also, make sure you you are keeping your thumb positioned behind the fret board and wrist pointed up (so coming down on the chords). That will make things easier!
Can you do one for just the way you are by bruno mars pls? Just starting out still but I prefer your music and I’d really like to play it for my girlfriend lol
Hi! I go through the strumming pattern from 5:57-7:20 in the instruction part of the video. The picking is for the verses and the strumming is for the chorus.
I swear to god its impossible for me to work an instrument. No matter what I cant strum without getting my fingers caught and even when following instructions to the letter it just sounds nothing like what im hearing
Make sure you have the chords master first. Like you can play them without looking and then do the same with the strumming. Work in small chunks of 10-15 minutes at a time no longer. Over time it will get easier!
Bruh how is this so easily for you guys? It's way to hard to sing to the second part, tbh I don't really feel the beat. I'm five seconds away from throwing my ukulele across the room.
Go slower and just focus on the playing first. Once you have that memorized and your not even thinking about it, then work on singing it at the same time.
