i heard this song back in 6th grade when it was new - it was shown to us by our math teacher and then he played his guitar and sung it to the class for the remainder of our free time. He was one of my favorite teachers, someone who actually made me enjoy and excel at math when I'm not particularly fond nor skilled at the subject.

This is amazing! BBC Radio 6 played the original Gotye version tonight and I went searching for alternative "takes". As a young man I had a guitar and my friend had a bass. We used the bedroom doors at his parents house as amplifiers. Today, I'm a gardener and my mate is a motor mechanic. When I saw this video years ago, I was already excited about the idea and execution. Even today it still inspires me, and I am always happy to see this creativity again.
