Freddie said they never wanted to sound like the record when performing live, that you could just play the record and put cardboard cutouts up if that what the fans wanted. The fans wanted to see a show!
Queen is Legendary and always will be..Amazing chemistry, totally focused, very harmonized. Freddie, Brian, Roger and John, best musicians by far. Concerts are not like that today. No lip syncing whatsoever. Pure talent. ❤️🔥

Brilliant reaction...Freddie said that this was his favourite song...he wrote it as a tribute to Aretha Franklin and he’d hoped that she would sing it some day..by the way someone said that Superman is out there somewhere wearing a Freddie Mercury shirt😂🤩

Queen in the studio and Queen onstage are two different and equally wonderful beasts 💖💖 When Freddie gets up from the piano the second time, you can see him looking behind him as he's crossing the stage. Brian has had some sort of malfunction with his guitar and Freddie keeps everything turning over until Brian returns with a wee nod, and then the song continues. Absolutely seamless. They were such a tight band.
This performance never, ever ceases to amaze me!! I've heard it hundreds of times and I still absolutely love it ....one of Queen's best ever live performances, I truly love this band!! Each member brings their own talent to their unique sound. Long live Queen ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, it is a whole concert, even better check out Fat Bottomed Girls live at Milton Keynes 1982. or Now I am Here live at Wembley 1986. A must watch is White Queen live at the Hammersmith Odeon 1975. Montreal is a whole concert, Queen have released a few concerts, Queen live at Wembley 1986 is the best selling concert DVD of all time. Queen in the studio is great, but a lot of people enjoy them even more live.
I was fortunate to see Queen in concert, back in August of 1980 at the Baltimore Civic Center. Freddie owned the crowd from the moment he stepped on the stage. It was definitely one of "those shows" that I will never forget.
Thanks for this. Art rockers from the early 70`s who would become the GOAT. Set studio and live performance production standards that won`t be equaled.

It was a filmed concert, but the Queen could get back the film of this concert at the early 2000s only, unfortunately in a very bad condition, because some parts were lost or destroyed then the NASA staff reconstructed it for a huge amount into this perfect quality. The whole show is great, pls. check out Dragon Attack.
Dragon Attack has got to be Freddie's ultimate alpha-male performance. Plus each band mate is on fire...and you can see the cues they take from each other for that killer bass line beat. Stellar!

in 2016 scientific study (prof Christian Herbst) confirms, Freddie had an unparalleled singing voice. His vocal range F2-F6 (4 octaves) but that what makes his voice so special was extremely fast vibrato 7.04 Hz and subharmonics. He was able to create several more layers of harmonics than anyone else. Freddie was using a subharmonics by vibrating his ventricular folds, a technique usually found only in Tuvan throat One of the conclusions from the studies was that"He was vibrating something in his throat that even Pavarotti couldn't move".
Outstanding performance by all. What more can be said? In my opinion, the best performance by Queen is, Queen: White Queen live at Odeon, Hammersmith December 24, 1975. It is mind boggling how this band can be so good live and that performance pulls out all the stops.
This Montreal concert is PERFECTION! My favorite Queen song is Somebody To Love in any version! Check out this song live in Milton Keynes 1982 just to see how Queen takes the same song & makes it uniquely different. 💥🥊 Also from this same concert GET DOWN MAKE LOVE ❤️

Love of My Life - live Wembley’86. So many versions, but this one he has such a powerful voice, and the crowd is in less than others. [Fans love live in Rio, BUT, if only if you want to hear the crowd; great to hear but not much of Freddie.] Suggestion; it’s AMAZING!

There is not a bad song in their entire discography, and their live performances were fire! Anything from Montreal '81 or Wembley '86 is awesome, but there are so many to choose from! The whole concerrt from Budapest '86 is great and they played to over 400,000 people in Rio who sang along with gusto! Any Queen live reaction and I'm with you!
Freddy was amazing my absolute favourite after MJ ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ his voice and performance was out of this world. Unfortunately I never got to see Queen live 😭😭 and all my favourite singers are dead now 😭
I was absolutely privileged to see the inimitable Queen perform live several times in my life. All I can say is.... Thank God dear Freddie used his powers for good...Otherwise the World would have been in big big trouble.
John Deacon rarely sang… but if you want to see him do so while sharing a mic with Freddie, try LIAR - live at the Rainbow 1974. (He has a great little feature bass moment too… so good ! )
@@josephinemonahan915 yes, John Deacon built a little amp out of some wiring he found sticking out of a skip (dumpster), rewiring it for his purposes and putting it inside a cheap little veneer speaker cabinet, meaning to use it as a practice amp. When he brought it along to a rehearsal, Brian wanted to check it out by plugging the Red Special guitar into it -- and discovered he could make some really unique orchestral-type sound effects because of the unique properties of both together. So : the Red Special guitar and the ‘Deacy Amp’ , both built on the cheap by two poor but brilliant young men, became THE cornerstone of Queen’s utterly unique instrumental sound.
Fans love everything Live at Wembly for the big hits...but spread your wings and include Who Wants to Live Forever at Budapest. You might also be bedazzled by their early live performances at the Rainbow (Cold Stone Crazy, In the Lap of the Gods) and at the Odeon (White Queen). Surely there are Queen songs you don't know ...fun to have a little shock & awe now and then!
My God, either the two old " Queen" men see the difference to their current appearances or they deliberately do not warnt to see it. They lack the power and the begging of their employed singer bring's him at most sex but in no way love.
