One of my favorite things about HoND is the music. No matter how many times I watch this movie, the music always...it's just...I can't even explain it, it's that powerful. The Hunchback of Notre Dame was, is, and always will be my favorite movie. PERIOD.
So much death, destruction, poverty, crime... it makes the world seem like a horrid place. It dampens the good and the kind things. The people helping the poor, the children at play, the sick getting better. The soldier coming home after years of war. If all of us truly saw and appreciated all of these miracles (no matter how small), maybe we could work toward preserving them and have this dream world where children don't fear the boogyman and soldiers always come home and never have to go back.
I love this film and I love this song. This has to be my favourite Disney of all time, I love the epicness, I love the size of it, I just love it. If there was one downer to it, I'd have to say it'd be the gargoyles. This is also a beautiful song and the message comes across nicely without sounding too preachy. Why wasn't this also in the rennaisance? I would have swapped this with Pocahontas so at least then, the golden era would go out with a better film.
@allybug4, i love Celtic Woman, this song is beautiful. i heard it on the cd and i thought "this one sounds familiar", looked it up and realized its from this movie. i like this movie, not one of my favorites, but i love the comedy in it. i love the gargoyles, especially Hugo, who is voiced by Jason Alexander!
@ThreeOfHearts1 No no no no no no no my friend, do not mix up Disney with the Disney channel. Disney makes things like Tangled, Princess and the Frog, whereas the Disney channel makes those things such as Hannah Montana and any Jonas things.
Doesn't matter if your gay, lesbian, straight, bi, trans, black, white, red, purple, furry, special needs, or disformed... we all have one thing in common, we are human. And someday we may realize this. When humanity matures enough, we will stop hating our neighbor, and realize we are all the same inside.
