Ok yeah that's definitely super weird, it's as if the AFK countdown doesn't account for actual movement around the game but just "active" inputs from using the WASD. I tried this out myself to do some testing, and it really seems that apart from the special shared abilities like bond of vigor, all the mount specific abilities aren't recognized as "inputs", i used the game's default drift and boost keys (C and V) and i also used the spacebar to jump around and trigger the big air mastery in the air, the only real difference to my own style was that i wasn't using the WASD and i still got the 60 second AFK countdown. It didn't seem to trigger for me during a single lap, it seemed to trigger on the 2nd lap so in around 4-5 minutes time, your video also appears to support this time frame, it happened to me both during a race event and again during a time trial where i just rolled through the track twice in a row. I'm still not sure if it's something that triggers from a single hit, or if it's more about the frequency of entering combat since Brisban is a really hostile track environment all around, or if it's that there's around or less than a minute of pause between you getting hit on each lap, which i guess could also be interpreted by the game as the time it takes for the typical random mob to respawn out in the open world. I think it's possible, though i'd have to wait around an hour in the game to test out the theory, but i think that the original 1 hour AFK timer might've also shared this same niche issue, where not using the WASD will also not be counted as movement on your mount, but it would've likely never have been noticed by anyone under normal circumstances during active play, but now with the renewed AFK kick timer it surfaces as a weird side-effect for people not using WASD. I know some other beetle racers who also don't use the WASD at all on the mounts for various reasons, so i could see this being a pain in the ass for some people. I also noticed during a race event that simply releasing the left/right mouse buttons and pressing them down again seemed to register on the same level as a single W input, so releasing and reapplying the forward movement input, which then stopped the countdown on the 30 second mark. Your guess is as good as mine as for why holding down the mouse buttons is somehow different from holding down the W key on the keyboard, or why one is "continuously active" and the other "periodically active". It's also just wild to me that the game somehow doesn't realize that we're still moving around, i was zipping through the track like a kangaroo but still somehow triggered the AFK timer that ironically was specifically telling me to move around. Finally, it seems that activating your bond of vigor ability at any point on the track will also count as an "active" skill, which will also prevent the AFK kick timer from triggering. So tough luck for anyone without the mastery for it, which is basically all free to play accounts and even some with the expansions bought. *_Update:_* as i was writing this, i entered for another race event, this time holding down the W instead of the left+right mouse buttons, and wouldn't you know it i still triggered the AFK kick countdown by the end of the 2nd lap, so it doesn't seem to be a specific issue of whichever input layout the player prefers, it's an issue of activating new inputs during the races and between the intervals of entering combat even if it happens involuntarily. And in hindsight now it makes sense, during normal play most racers trigger the bond of vigor at least once during a lap, and those that use the full WASD layout tend to hold the W yes, but also actively switch between the A/D inputs for turning. However, this can also be a problem because i know people that don't use the A/D at all and prefer mainly using their mouse for turning and drifting. I think as a time trial Brisban is a standalone case in this regard, but some other tracks should have race events that last long enough for this same side-effect to trigger, provided that the player enters combat somewhere along the tracks. It's still weird that things like drifting, boosting, the big air tricks and even just jumping around on your beetle at full speed and motion somehow aren't counted as "active inputs", that doesn't seem right at all.

Thank you for not only the additional testing you did, but the insightful and detailed comment 🧡 I sincerely appreciate it!
