🥀 Bishop Briggs released her new album "Champion" and blessed my ears with her song "Someone Else". I felt I could have written this one, and I needed to make a cover of it. I recorded it in one take, but my camera stopped recording in the middle of the song so I didn't realize it until I wanted to edit it. I had to improvise, and so came this idea. For me, this song is about being real with yourself. Talking about the real things, the ones that hurts, the ones we have deep down in our soul. So translate that into removing my makeup was a really interesting thing to do. Then, in the end, I put something else on my face, not a mask, not makeup, but tears and my sad face, at least they're not fake. And it's ok to feel that way sometimes, it's ok to embrace the sadness and the emotions that going through your body and soul. It's not my best vocal performance, but it's maybe the most raw i did, and the mistakes i've made shows my vulnerability. "I was naked.."
Hope you'll like it. Love y'all, take care.
