@Dame Machismo well, to me at least, it seems like you're mad, not the other way around. I understand that it can feel like love isn't real and there is no "special someone" for anyone. I've been there. I know how it feels. What is most likely the case is that no one has really shown you what a healthy romantic relationship actually looks like. There are ups and downs. It's not like the movies where they just stay in love until 1 fight splits them up for good. Relationships take time, dedication, and understanding. That's why they are so hard and they seem unreachable. However, if you really dig deeper and discover what you want out of life, then I promise that the bitterness will dissipate and you can lead the life you want.

@@Catlie104 he “slowed down” at a stop sign, he didn’t stop. He just broke the law lol 😂. He could’ve done better and stopped for him, butttt he actually chose violence and illegally ran the stop sign so he couldn’t see her for more than 2 seconds.
Back before I had a cell phone, I used to meet my boyfriend after school. I was one grade below him and was still in middle school while he went to high school, which was on the opposite side of a city park from where I was. Since there was this age gap, my parents didn’t want me to see him. Even though we were super close in age, I was in middle school and he was in high school, so of course my parents rightfully thought it was a little weird. But this kid was my first love, my high school sweetheart. We went on to be together from age 13 until I was 18. It was the sweetest, most innocent love. Since my school got out 20 minutes before his, I’d run through the park and try to catch him at the stop light. I remember times where he would be crossing at the same time as me. We wouldn’t be allowed to stop and hang out, we could only give each other a quick kiss and hug and then I’d have to continue on home. So some days, as we’d cross the street, he would hand me a paper or two. Poems. This kid wrote me poems for daaayyyyss… he also made little cartoon character versions of us and would draw comics with them in it. I still have so many of the poems memorized. They were so silly, but they really meant so much to me. More than any text, more than any video call, more than anything any man could give me a decade later as I sit here writing this. No one ever touched my heart through the internet or through text like that boy did on that cross walk every day when he’d hand me a poem, give me a kiss, and disappear until tomorrow. Edit: I wanted to include the first ever poem he gave me, that I still have memorized 11 years later. Before cell phones, we used to write love notes each period and pass them off while walking to the next class because we actually missed each other for the hour or however long. 😂 It sounds like an ancient practice, but I graduated highschool in 2005.

@@dre1978 in most cases of high school relationships, one of the two will begin to have serious doubts about the relationship at some point in their lives due to the fact that the relationship is such an integral part of them (like a midlife crisis for example). It’s kinda like how people begin to wonder if they’re missing out in their first relationship and then cheat, which is extremely common in high school but it’s usually just a “lesson learned not doing that again scenario,” but it’s basically the same thing for long lasting high school sweethearts. Although I really do like when those relationships last, it’s just unlikely in the current age (assuming it’s in the US). Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
not necessarily. unless you understand the depths of why someone does what they do, i don’t feel you can have a say in if they tried or not. my boyfriend has a toxic home life and felt he couldn’t call me sometimes because of the way it is there. it’s good to not judge.

my grandpa worked for the railroad and saw this cute girl working on a farm so he tied a note to a rock asking her out next time they passed by it was my grandma they where married 54 years
My grandpa told me a story about how he would always see this girl while he was working on a train. One day, he did something similar, where he wrote a note, tied it to a rock and tossed it to her. Unfortunately, he hit her with the rock and she fell under the train 😢

When I become a parent, I'm going to realize things like this. There will still be rules and consequences of course, but I understand that loving someone is important, and communicating with that person is equally as valuable
The angle of the video in the bus brought back a flood of visceral memories from my school years as a child and teenager. Especially the way the light comes through the cloudy sky into the bus. Through the trees. You can see the glisten of dew still on the grass. Seems like early spring. Memories
