I went there last weekend and went on all of the trains and at the end they have the freight train run so they let us ride on the brake carriage for the last ride!! Oh yea I started up the Diesel R8 shunter

They've certainly come a long way. Maybe someone can lend them a Merchant Navy or a Battle of Britain like in steam days to run along the line on the Pines Express. Nice one Ollie.

Sorry to disagree with someone on live chat but looked up D4095 and on the S & D H site they say it's an 08 and wiki states D4095 was an 08. I thought it was an 0-8-0 and a 0-3-0. The D2128 company who built the engine for BR in Swindon and Doncaster was Gardner in Manchester. Who in 1976 were part aquired 17% by RR then the business was bought by Hawker Siddley in 1977 and Perkins Engines in 1986.
