I think knux truly cares about the rest of the team, especially Silver. Maybe he was so hard on them on training because he knows what happens if they aren't strong enough. Maybe when he was in the red mech, he witnessed Sonic's death and believed that it was all his fault. After Sonic chose him as new "blue" he swore not to be weak as that day. He was afraid that if he didn't come in time, Silver could have died! So, after having an orribile deja vu, he decided what was best for now. He always acts though because he still doubts about being worthy of his old friend's place.

fun fact: by the way Knuckles calls Amy "Rosy" and the picture of "Rosy The Rascal" on Amy's dash board this appears to be a spin off of "Fleetway comics" sonics universe post some traumatic event. it highly likely sonic is trapped in fleetway's body or even died as fleetway, but we will have to wait and see.

Don't ask me how, but the moment I heard sonics mech, I immediately thought it was knuckles, even though I never have even played the sonic games, but it just seemed like the plot twist this whole chapter was going for, not to mention his personality fit perfectly. I know I sound like a liar, but I swear that that's what my thought process was.

I mean we can clearly see that secret history tails and amy are in disguise or thers heading there still so theres tails who probably has glasses now with Amy called rosie now who caused this by hoping the through dismonision considering they went to a golden city and now since it's a difrent city knuckles called her rosie's hinting that that isn't his Amy and secret history tails has always been mostly normal to a degree so knuckles probably just calls him tails because he dided some how same as sonic Amy did as well before Amy and secret history tails met knuckles and sonic this could be a time skip or something like that

Yes it's connected to There smething about Amy. We don't know in what way but we have some detailes. Tails saying that someone want meet Amy really hard. This Knuckles call Amy "Sweatheart". It can be just his character. And in same time can be something different. And also in Tails "Perfect World" we see Knuckles bonus Soooo... It's most likely Knuckles obsessed with Amy And knowing how messed up this "There something about" he probably the one who get rid of Sonic (=_=)
