Nothing compares to the magic and excitement of the holidays in New York City, where the streets blaze with lights, windows dazzle and a special box from Tiffany could change the course of a person’s life. If they cheat then they are no so significant. That's the point of the story. The trailer opens with the girl is making excuses to be with the guy. The guy trying win her back with a gift. Which would be unnecessary if he was handling business. The other couple the guy wants to move to NY. He wants something different. Neither couple had mr. or mrs. right. Just mr. and mrs. right now. Do you give up that security for what could be that one true love.

Usually a person who is thinking of breaking up with somebody, meets another person that pushes them over the edge to realize they want to be with someone else. Then they break up and get with the new person. Some people stay in abusive relationships because they don't think they can find somebody else. Some times it takes somebody else to show that person the proper affection before they realize what they did not have in their current relationship. So no I don't condone cheating. I do condone making an upgrade if you are not married (or in other words made a lifetime commitment. which by the way, can be terminated if a partner cheats (Matthew 19).

I mean… just watched this trailer and it comes off as one dude was ready to tie the knot with his gf and got the daughter to be in on it. Only for the ring to go to someone else and the dude falls in love with the chick that got the ring like the time he spent with his current gf was nothing to him in a matter of seconds. And the then girl possibly giving her ex a chance isn’t any better. Ugh

The trailer doesn't show how bad a guy the main female character's bf is, he's not a great catch in the book, and there's no cheating in the book. The book was mostly the 'mission' to swap the items back, so will be interesting to see how much that plays in the movie version

@@djrican94 How do you know there is cheating? The trailer shows barely anything, I don’t know the storyline or how it plays out? What if the woman he planned on proposing to ends up being the one to be having an affair? How do we know her boyfriend didn’t originally cheat on her? We don’t know anything, and tbh everyone is so quick to assume what’s going to happen or what this movie is about. Let’s wait to see what actually happens yeah? And then make judgment. If it’s condoning “cheating” it’s obviously not going to be a movie I’m reaching for to watch again.

@@lh8167 So let me get this strait. They spend an entire day together, talking, walking, getting to know each other and flirting. Then they do it AGAIN a second time along with drinks at a bar. Yet again flirting and almost kissing, while they are in relationships with other people. Then they spend weeks just thinking about each other all the time. Yet, you say they weren't messing around? You're joking right? I feel bad for your partner if this is your way of thinking.

In the final scene, in the restaurant, Zoey makes a very effective acting choice to kiss Kendrick on the neck as he's serving customers. Innocently intimate. I love it when women do little, spontaneous things like that because it completely disarms me. LOL. It makes my knees weak.

"Reese." "Witherspoon?" "Yes!" This name credited as the Producer of this movie on the Wikipedia page made me to watch it in Amazon Prime Video! Although predictable, the movie is a cool watch. It follows the right formula of rom-coms: young-cute people, New York City in holiday season, a picture perfect bakery/cafe, an all-knowing-mind-reading-friend, even the obligatory waiting at the end (sorry, couldn't get the Central Park. Will the walkway along East River suffice?). I liked the story's presentation. The actors did a decent job. A couple of songs during New York City montage are hummable. What else can you ask from a Christmas movie? If you don't have time, just watch the trailer - it's all in there! Be happy, keep smiling, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2023... ❤️😊👍

I have had it with these cheating movies. They depict two people who are in relationships finding each other and falling in love. This is basically emotional cheating. I don't understand how this is romantic, it is disgusting and I am wishing that the cheating couple has a horrible ending in the movie.
