I have only just discovered you and as I said on a tiktok yesterday, everything you say resonates with me so much regarding writing. But after watching this, it goes so much deeper than that. I am the chronically ill person in our family and my partner is my caregiver, breadwinner and wonderful step father to my two children. I am also the care giver to my neurodivergent daughter, also named Jenna. I have PTSD and suffer a chronic pain condition and Lyme Disease. Writing is my escape. If I cant write, I read but I think about writing every single day and have since I was a child. So when I say I am truly grateful for everything you are sharing, I mean it from the depths of my soul. You have inspired me, thrilled and excited me and sparked a determination in me that I had suppressed for a very long time because so much else took priority. But since losing my job a year ago from illness, and being so very trapped in my own body, now more than ever, I have more free time to write. I am writing for me, but how amazing would it be to publish my Fantasy novel and give something back to my family and fiancé? I cant wait to get up every day and get to planning and outlining and that is partially, thanks to you. Thank you. I wish you and Cliff every health and happiness and a speedy recovery for him.

Hey Jenna, I started watching your videos in 2018 shortly after I graduated university with an English degree and a job teaching English in China. My dream has always been to write for a living. I was about 43,000 words into my first manuscript when Covid-19 hit, and I was in a precarious situation where everything I owned was in China, but I was visiting friends and family outside of China. I ended up functionally homeless and living out of a suitcase that I'd packed for a month, but lived out of for a year. I only mention these things because I had abandoned my writing dreams and my manuscript because shit was ROUGH from mid-2020 to early 2022. I only found THIS video because I'm finally in a place where I can put pen to paper again and make those writing dreams come true. I admire your drive even through all the adversity you're facing, and I'll sure as HELL be joining your writing sprints. Thanks for taking time to take care of yourself. It helps the rest of us who have gone through some shit stay sane and pick it up again when we're ready.

It is also evident that you have a good support system to see you through some of the problems. Thank you for sharing your struggle and goals with us. Legitimately you are fucking amazing, especially your ability to adapt and care both about other people and your own well-being in really hard situations. As someone who also deals with Trauma Brain and is neurodivergent it's really cool seeing people like that go "yup that sucked. let's try something different and decide not to feel guilty about taking some selfcare steps"

Thank you for sharing all these updates. I'm keeping Cliff in my thoughts. The writing livestreams sound so nice! I'm excited for them. I set reminders as soon as I saw them in my youtube feed. I think they'll be an even bigger help for me to write than the regular videos, which already are motivating. And speaking of motivation, thanks for the quarterly goal update. Your youtube channel should be fun to you! I know it often isn't, but in terms of lightening the load, I think this is the best option to pause or drop. For me personally, I watch your channel to scratch my Savior itch. It doesn't matter how many videos you make or if you stop, I will be buying the Savior's Army, and likely any fantasy or romance book you publish. It doesn't matter if it's published in a few months or in a few years. I love your work and that won't change. You will always have a loyal fanbase, so the videos, if you want them to come out, can come later.

I'm baffled how you can manage all these things at once anyway, because this is quite a buttload of stuff to deal with. I can't even establish my writing platform yet due to my day job, a freelance job, moving to a new apartment recently, and doing this social obligations thingy, leading to autistic burnouts etc. XD And mastering all your tasks and that schedule chaos as an ND is extra tough, so hats off to that dedication! Cutting back your YT content is totally valid and understandable and I'll try to watch your upcoming livestreams as they're running, even due to some timezone issues :D It's so great and inspiring to see how your platform is flourishing despite all those obstacles and I wish you the best that it will continue. And a speedy recovery to Cliff, so the unbeatable Jenna-Cliff-Butters triforce can be united again!

I'm sorry to hear Cliff is back in the hospital. As a caregiver myself I know it can be hard at times. One thing I did for a friend who is a content creator here when he was in the hospital was i went to his videos page and played them all and kept them playing day and night for him. It wasnt much in the long run but it helped a little bit.

The purpose of hardships is to make us resilient. Picture hardship as a Blacksmith and our human souls as a piece of steel. The pain we feel in our souls is the Blacksmith pounding away, sticking us into the fire, folding us, and constantly pounding us until we become beautiful objects with tough skins. That is the rationality of hardship - to make us beautiful people with tough skin. You are not the only one going through hardship. I just quick my job due to a toxic work environment. Now I am on an arduous journey to become a great and successful writer. I am so grateful to meet you. You and other writers I met on RU-vid are the Lighthouses in a dark sea leading me to my proper destination. Jenna, you probably don't see it now, but when the fog clears and the tears dry up, you will be a gorgeous, precious woman with tough skin.

Jenna, I've been watching your content for a long time, which is how long I've been contemplating writing a novel. When your book "Shut Up and Write the Book" came out, I had to get it and read it. Extreme levels of stress is brutal for creativity. No one could write through that. When life blows up, we sort of have to deal with enough of the fallout to clear the emotional rubble so we have the head space to write. Which is tricky because the knee-jerk reaction is to freak out about not writing. And what you're doing, reevaluating how much is a reasonable serving to have on your plate is ... hard doesn't do the word justice. Every time I go through this, the closest thing I can relate the feelings it brings is grief. One coping mechanism I use is to try without expectations for a set amount of time, use that as a base line to try to improve on as I gradually build back up to where I was before. I hope that Cliff is doing better, and that you're able to find escape in the world you're creating.

And for God's sake, yes, do whatever feels most comfortable and fluid right now. I've been both the patient AND the caretaker on multiple occasions, and neither side "of the knife" (in reference to surgeries) is nice. Love to you, Cliff, and Butters, and I'll hit up your live streams, too. I saw that long list of them in my subs ox, and I was like, "Oh, new channel format, perhaps?"

I won't be able to join the livestreams due to work unfortunately... But I will be watching and rewatching your videos! It'll help me get back into the groove of writing. Which I definitely need to get back to doing. Hoping for Cliff's speedy recovery!

Sorry to hear about Cliff and hope he recovers well. I just bought your novels and have your Shut Up book. Take care and don't feel the pressure to have to post on a regular basis. I will definitely request your books when I go to the library LOL - but assume you've already done that given we live in the same town.
