No matter how curated you think your content is, I do think one of the biggest reasons viewers continue to watch is how authentic you are. You never fail to inject some personal talk, real talk, relatable talk into any aspect of life you show. It can be about friendship, relationships, family, home, organisation, you inject a bit of claudia into everything you do- and we love that you always try to add value to our lives whether it be random advice or reviews. Plus point - you editing style just keeps topping itself video after video. Give yourself more credit girl, we're here to stay!

cant lie, the vlogs are the videos i watch and enjoy the most. but the last thing anyone wants is for you to feel uncomfortable sharing these vlogs or feeling fraudulent! i’m sure new content will be just as interesting

The best part of your videos are when you’re sitting down and talking to us. For me, it’s never been about the aesthetic. Yes, you’re amazing at editing, but that’s at least not what I’m here for. To me your biggest asset isn’t your editing but your articulation. You’re amazing at putting thoughts into words! That’s why I think videos are your thing because you’re great at translating the abstract into the tangible. Hope you read this :’)

As a long-time viewer, I can say that I (and I'm sure many of us) really appreciate this conversation and vulnerability. Like you said, this does pays the bills and you could easily keep creating content just for cash flow and/or vanity and we probably wouldn't even know the difference. Hi, I'm a horticulturist. Just a few tips! The white on your terra cotta pots are actually salt build up from water or what's in your soil. And they can burn your plants and make the tips start to burn. Also rocks on the bottom of pots do not help with drainage. It actually causes root rot and tends to leave the soil more soggy because the drainage is now blocked. They also don't allow roots to grow down and keeps them shallow and tight.

I personally dont mind how you're vlogs are, they make me feel comfy. I never thought your content wasn't real, of course it is, I dont tell everyone even my friends what happens in my day, I like talking about the good things but dont feel the need to share everything. People are here because we like you and society has come to know that what is put online are people sharing moslty their fun times. I get so happy when I see someone doing fun stuff because atm it's harder for me ( ive been trying to get a job so I can take steps to move across the country to be with my friends), but theres almost a feeling of watching someone share their life that makes me strive for something better or seeing someone go through the same thing. Boundaries with a creator and an audience is important, we know you but we dont KNOW you and you can choose to share boring or more private topics if you feel like it. We dont care what you put out, explore you're interests with youtube, take a break, switch it up, keep it the same.... you're audience is here for you and THAT is authenticity and what a community that has your back looks like.

I really appreciate you acknowledging that you kind of have a subconscious formula for curating a “perfect lifestyle vlog” that includes certain essential elements. I have never perceived your videos or RU-vid presence as being inauthentic in any way, and I don’t believe I ever will, but I guess I didn’t realize that your portrayal of your life was so intentional. Luckily your life (or what I understand it to be) has always inspired me to push for progress and physical / mental / spiritual health, instead of prompting jealousy or insecurity or any other “negative” emotions within me. But that said, recognizing that you have so much more going on in your life that just cannot be contained in your signature vlogs anymore, for a multitude of reasons, was comforting in a way. No one’s life can honestly fit into that perfect lifestyle format for very long, whether they make videos about their life or not. Claudia, you may never find a way to exist on RU-vid that feels absolutely right, even within a single given moment. You will constantly balance between privacy and publicity, social media presence and absence, purposeful production and freeform creativity. You know? We all have our own themes, specific to our own jobs or interests, just like the ones I’ve listed for you, and we all will constantly be seesawing between them too because I just think that’s life. What’s most important is that you give yourself permission to honor your true self and make decisions without factoring in external validation. Not that it’s bad to want external validation or that that’s a simple thing to figure out - I just think following your own compass and keeping it in your highest regard is what will end up giving you the peace of mind and fulfillment that you seem to be wanting right now. I respect whatever choices you make and I know most of us will stick by you and remain interested in you and your content, no matter what. You are an unbelievably multi-talented person and whatever you make will be unique and great and so worth your time and ours

I use to share SO much online and I am now 33 and in the last few years I have become so much more private. The online space is so different now and doesn't feel as safe as it use to, and also people churning and burning through content so much it doesn't seem to hold as much value. I began youtube at the start of the year and stopped for that reason that I felt it was too idealistic what I was showing due to keeping so much private and I just felt off about contributing to that false image online that can happen. Totally understand and respect your feels on this

I feel like you're dancing around the facts which is you have become rich/famous and are now unrelatable, which is why you're struggling to make authentic content, because most of it is extremely unrelatable to your audience or you're surrounded by high-profile people who can't be shown on camera. You have a partner who is now mega famous, has one of the most famous siblings in the music industry, your circle has become A-list celebrities, you're on tour/travelling constantly. That's incredible for you but it's why I see you're having this disconnect trying to create youtube videos as you always did. Your life has skyrocketed and changed almost more than any other creator from your era. I feel the polarity in your heart about it all and just hope you do what's best for you and your audience. Dreaming bigger and better and leaving youtube is fine and completely natural, but I hope you do it in a gracious way. I've been a viewer of yours for 13 years and I do need to say it is partially sad and feels like losing a friend who has become to 'big and successful' for you, but you'll always wish the best for them regardless. ❤

i think it's important to remember that not everything you put out has to serve some higher purpose. i know burnout can make it feel like everything you create has to have a point, but i don't see it that way. content can just exist. if we all tried to find meaning in every single vlog, moment, etc, i think it'd make life incredibly deep and difficult. lol i don't know if what i'm saying makes sense. all this to say, if you feel like this style of content isn't serving you anymore, ditch it for now. there are other meaningful ways you can make content, and it's important you find how to do that in the way you want. wow sorry this was rambly. but hope it helps!

I completely get this. Even as a viewer - I’ve been feeling mentally exhausted with watching tik-toks and RU-vid shorts. It’s never ending and really aimless. And I don’t get the point of any of it. After working on feature films and bigger projects, I can understand that RU-vid vlogs might not satisfy the same creative part of your brain that they once did. Personally, I love watching your vlogs because they offer a glimpse into your unique lifestyle and inspire me to be more organized and motivated. They certainly do not feel inauthentic as a viewer and we totally get that you can't (and shouldn't) show everything because of privacy and boundaries. i’ve always found such comfort in your vlogs and i think the intimacy and the almost romanticization of the mundane things you’ve allowed yourself to share with us are exactly what make them feel so special. even though i knew that it was all carefully edited, it was still so calming and grounding to get to come here and watch you live your life, no matter how curated the video itself was. it gave me such peace, and almost reminded me that no matter what i was going through, the life i want is possible and everything is going to be okay.. that being said, the last thing that ANY of us want is for you to feel stuck or trapped in the content that you make. i feel like i almost saw this coming with all of the recognition you’ve been getting outside of the youtube space, and in the best way possible; watching your growth has made me so proud and it’s all SO well deserved. it totally makes sense that you feel yourself growing out of this style of video, and that you’re wanting more privacy given how large the scope of your life has become as opposed to like 5 years ago. i really just think it means you’re moving up in the world :) i, personally, would still love to see a vlog here or there, even if they’re so carefully curated because i will always love getting to look at your life, whatever you want to share with us, through your artist eyes. but if you feel yourself being called to make other kinds of content, please by ALL means, chase it. we will all be here to support you 100% of they way :)

As a long time viewer (think when you and Aspyn used to take trips to visit each other lol), I have kind of been feeling that you haven't felt as authentic lately. I love your videos and the intimacy that comes with your authenticity, and you are seriously one of the only 'influencers' I watch lately, but I could definitely feel that something has been a bit off. Claud, we will watch any videos that you want to make. 💖 Some of the content I love from you is sit-down videos on a particular topics (e.g. your "how i edit" or "how i lost weight" videos). They allow you to dive deep into a topic of your choice for either entertainment or education, without sharing the personal details of your daily life and what you're going through emotionally. I pivoted my content last year to less-personal, more specific sit-down videos and have felt an insane refreshing freedom. Allow yourself to experiment, feel creative again and try something different

i honestly love when youtubers live their life by posting 1 time a month. it allows them to enjoy their life and stick with why they began youtube in the first place :). also i love when it becomes a hour ish long vid. but you do you claud! lastly unedited unfiltered vlogs are truly the best. i look forward to those instead of crafty and edited vlogs.

I think your videos are at the same time the lightness we users need and the deepness that allows us to reflect on ourselves. I have personally found them life changing in terms of self growth but I believe that in order for us viewers to grow and heal through this videos it is crucial that you feel the same. So even if we will terribly miss our virtual time with you, we support any decision you will take.

That makes sense, you have been doing this for so long, with hundreds of videos which is insanely impressive btw. But the older i get, the more simple the routine has become. That is part if growing up. Its awesome how honest you are with yourself, and how far you have come through this journey. Nothing wrong with taking a break or trying something new. What I have learnt is that nitpicking at something, contradicting myself on a topic, over intellectualizing tends to lead me to realization that I am deeply unhappy. And it translates into what I do. So, all to say, go inwards, explore this signal and seek your truth.

I personally know that I will be down for any kind of content you want to make! You're an artist, a creator and you have all the right to grow and change up your content and way of creating. Do what makes you feel good, and most of all like yourself! Rooting for you

My channel is absolutely tiny but after 2 years I've reached a similar point of feeling burnt out and struggling with how to switch up content and make things feel exciting once again, and sharing vs privacy is so difficult. Do whatever is the best call for you! You've pivoted your channel many times before over the last few years, and each change has been wonderful for a time. Vlogs will always be there if you change your mind or find a love for it again.

What you're feeling about personal vlogs is so valid. Tbh I think vlogs are kind of a weird phenomenon the more you think about it. I think you have an audience that's loyal enough and likes you enough to come back just to watch whatever you decide to upload. I personally love your book recommendations, skincare, wellness, all of that. I think you have a knack for curation and it doesn't have to involve curating your life. It could just be curating things we all need like good books, self care items, trying recipes, all of that. Tbh I think your foray into acting is interesting on its own. Maybe you could share your thoughts, experiences and memories as you go through the journey of becoming an actor. Tbh even if you just sat in front of the camera and rambled about shower thoughts, people would show up and watch. People like listening to you because you're intelligent, kind, and creative, and that naturally makes people want to listen to you. Whatever you do, I hope you find peace. The evolution of social media has been on my mind more recently because of how quickly I’ve personally experienced the change of pace it has only in a span of ten years. I feel that the post pandemic world even escalated the “quick content” due to the rise of Tiktok. Even the change of Instagram throughout the past five years with algorithm and completely turning into a business instead of an actual social media platform to share. Sometimes I get nostalgic for the type of experience I had on social media at a younger age. Maybe there’s an innocence from not being able to compare it to anything; but I have to place myself in check once I find myself tripping over what it could possibly become within the next ten years or under. I’m not a content creator but I also will find myself questioning the amount of what I want to share and post and why I want to share what I post. Story telling and sharing is so powerful and I thank you for speaking your mind! It reminds me that my thoughts aren’t always alone and that social media has truly shifted our generation. I’ve grew up with watching your Vlogmas videos when I was in high school and it’s been amazing to see your own personally journey! You feel like a distant friend and I thank you for that ❤️

So basically where you are in your life is a literal midlife crisis. I watch the blogs the most, not because I believe it’s exactly what your life is like, but because you insert really healthy habits that show me how easily I could be adding into my own routine. Part of the joy of being a viewer comes from my assumption that the creator is fully comfortable, and enjoying making their content. I think most of us would fully support you cutting out any aspect of content creation that isn't servicing you as a person first and foremost. We're also aware that creators don't show us every aspect of their lives- please don't ever worry about not being transparent enough.

Hi Claudia! As a long time viewer, I can promise you that we don't assume this is all of your life, and of course the majority of your personal life will remain private and that is not only understandable but relatable on a human level. We will not always share 100% of our selves with the rest of the world! But in a world of super short 'trendy' content, there's something soo calming about the slow pace of your videos. As a viewer, I;'m not necessarily consuming content just to pass time or learn something or feel closer to a content creator, but rather to get away from my own life for a bit. I've loved your videos over the years and you have to do what feels right for you and we will honor that! Love you from another overwhelmed 26 year old in a different part of the world! xx

your content has changed and evolved as it is over the years, and while daunting and scary to make a change that your viewers may hypothetically not like, your viewers watch for you. You are creative and beautiful and inspiring, and you are capable of doing amazing, beautiful things. If you feel like your stuck at a standstill and you’re craving something different, make something different.

As our favorite RU-vidrs become public figures, it's no secret that there will be less authenticity, transparency, etc. I don't watch your videos for a real 'look inside your life'. Rather, I keep watching because of the art and aesthetic of the video! The editing, music, shots, etc. So, I guess it doesn't really matter what the content of the video is. I don't leave your videos thinking I know more about you. I leave thinking, "Damn, that was a good video/art piece".

I really liked this video and when you have more of a conversation with the camera/viewers. Hearing about your therapy journey has definitely pushed me in mine. Whatever you decide for the future I know will be excellent and thoughtful.

i am so glad that i’m not the only one that finds social media scary right now. i always go through phases where i want to post things i love, then boom, anxiety about social media and it’s addictive qualities. i don’t feel fully human anymore. and it’s terrifying
