Did one yesterday, used ones are usually just as bad so stripped it right down and cleaned the internal tracks and contacts as they go black and don’t make contact, back together and works like new, not fun for sausage fingers but with patience it’s a 100% fix
Did this on a Pug 2008 the other day as the clock spring was faulty and causing a level 1 airbag fault, it’s in depth but not awful, airbags are a pain and stripping the cruise control unit out is a bit fiddly but not awful. Nice vid mate!
My wife wanted me to do this on her Seat Ibiza but no way was I gambling with an airbag, knowing my luck it'd go off in my face, gave it to a lad down the road instead
Hi baz really like the videos, I would really love your advice on a vw crafter 22 plate that will start up when the engine is cold but when it warms up and you turn it off and on it won't start it just cranks over, till the engine goes cold again. There are no fault codes, really love your advice, love the videos 😊
Hey baz firstly well done on the videos stumbled across them and they are great not enough quality UK content and real content like yours on you tube! Quick random question, Ive worked on my own cars at home for years but at the grand age of 39 I'm just completing my level 3 at college to hopefully change career and start in the trade. I suffer with pretty bad anxiety at times and one worry I have if the moving of vehicles in and out the tight garage bays as Ive never been super confident with parking other peoples cars etc. Is this something that im really going to struggle with of do you find the confidence in time or do other techs help watch you in and out? Any advice on this or anything else about getting into the trade is much appreciated
