I'm glad people realizing how odd Geeta is and not only her appearance. Glimmora is basically the Carbink of this generation and is gonna be related to a future legendary.

I just found it hilarious how most of the Gym Leaders only had bad things to say about Geeta during out rematches. 😂 Ryme was really about to beat her up.

Honestly Geeta being a villain would be refreshing since it would be the first time we ever had a evil champion. Now that I think about, I don’t think there even is a villain in Scarlet and Violet since Team Star are just a bunch of mistreated kids trying to defend themselves and the Android professors were just following their protocols. Geeta being a villain is also possible since her team is incredibly weak at the moment and GameFreak usually gives the champion characters tons of powerful Pokémon either as some sort of pseudo legendary or a very powerful Pokémon.

Considering how off-putting Volo was, I wouldn’t be surprise if future dlc reveals Geeta’s true nature

There is also dialogue from Larry on how the E4 were forced to be E4 and that he isn't allowed to use his favorite type, something none of the E4 members try to deny. How the league itself is run is also suspect, considering it really isn't as skill based unlike past regions, allowing for multiple "champion certified" trainers.

I do believe she have something to do with Area Zero, her pokémon can be found inside the area zero, Glimmora, Gogoat, Espathra, pre evolution of Kingambit (I know they can be found in other areas but also the crater is odd)

if Geeta ends up evil/doing a bad thing but is morally grey like Rose (sure he's poorly written but he's meant to be a grey character but since SV has good writing we won't get a Rose 2.0) can Larry be the next chairman/top champion

You know, I like how there really wasn't a 'villain' in this generation. Yeah the professors were misguided, but their heart was in the right place, you know? But you are right, there are a lot of JRPG villain vibes from Geeta and of all the people who were champions in past games, she is the only one, I know of, that made her position and gave it so much authority, when the history tells us that the school has been the authority of the region ever since the fall of the empire, so it does give off some coup vibes.

I'm thinking she is an ultra beast in disguise due to her design and mannerism ( pheramosa ) thus explaining that her team type is weak to fighting or bug type , her possible involvement in the creation of a new invasive species ( the paradox pokemon that could salvage the whole ecosystem if they were let loose , like the parasite team of the ultra beasts ) etc

If there was once a King in Paldea. I wonder if Geeta is the descendant of the king and that’s why even though Her team isn’t great and has been beaten by school kids, She never resigns her position as La Primera and still holds power above everyone in Paldea, just like a King/Tyrant.

I would like to point out, that we saw how 'scary' Geeta can be. That scene when Penny did not want to help her. Also when I think about Geeta, I somehow have to think about Rose too. I don't think scarlet and violet has a real villain so far. So maybe, in a DLC, Geeta will be a villain. We did learn some things about Geeta in the game but maybe they are taking things slower this time. Rose as a villain was rushed so putting this in a DLC would be bad, (I mean you have to pay extra for that), but it could be a good story.

She’s the assistant the professor created. She rebelled against the professor and left so they created another robot in their own image so it would have their same ambition and put a program in their AI locking the AI to the lab so they can’t leave like Geeta did.

Wait i just realized that AZ could stand for Area Zero,makes sense with the connection of Kalos and area zero and maybe the ultimate weapon fired by AZ .

I have a couple of theories about Geeta. She is using her power and influence in the League and the Academy to build up the strongest team of trainers in the region, to search and capture the Brilliant Disk Pokémon in Area Zero; she is someone from the past/future/alternate dimension who time-traveled; both versions of her from Scarlet and Violet are in contact with each other; she is a relative of Nemona, or actually Nemona from another time/dimension.

Personally, I think she killed Turo and Sada because they had a crisis of conscience and wanted to shut down the time machine, then programmed the ai to protect it at all costs while also trying to shield herself from blame, but because the ai was a perfect recreation, it eventually came to the same conclusion as the original professor and thwarted her plans

My theory is that Paldea was the region that was at war with Kalos. The ultimate weapon that was used 3000 years ago by AZ is what created the great crater and ripped a hole in time and space and that's why instances of paradox pokemon happened before the time machine was even built and why tarastilazation is still possible after the time machine is shut down. Because of this Paldea sees using mega evolution as a taboo so they use Tarastalization instead. The ultimate weapon also gave Geeta (who was the head of the force opposing AZ) eternal life as well. She was the Paldean emperor, and also the king that was gifted the pokemon of Ruin. (She is often Referred to as the chairman instead of chairwoman so Referring to her as king instead of queen wouldn't be so weird in this region) I so think Mrs Raidort is a descendent of Geeta. Just like Lysandre is a descendent of AZ.

If she turns out to be the villain, she'll definitely be one of the best written Champion out there. Like, a Champion as the villain, plus the way the gym leaders talk about her is off too.

with regard to glimmora being an area zero pokemon, i think glimmora is going to be related to the mysterious disk pokemon in the book that is responsible for terastalization, kinda the same way carbink is related to diancie, like disk boy is gonna be a suped up version of glimmora, i think it's simply too weird and interesting, with too good of stats and movepool to just be another throw-away pokemon

She is awfully similar to Lusamine in branding. Paldea also had the same problem of having the ecosystem threatened by invasive species. The professor being possibly alive and Arven’s strange encounter with a strange creature he couldn’t even determine was a pokemon also has me think something caused Bill’s technology to get more involved in the story. Geeta also looks similar to the Arcade star from the Sinnoh region. Thinking could be a similar connection to what Cynthia has with Lillie’s family. The ace pokemon Geeta has is also the same typing as Nihilego and occurs primarily in Area zero similar to how Nihiliego is mostly found in ultra space. The stand off people have towards her I think is similar to what people in Galar like Peony have towards Chairman Rose. I also get the feeling that she might have something to do with the administration that had protected the people who bullied team star. Then again, she does recognize Nemona’s strength and is much more respectful compared to the villains. I can imagine her as a non villain who is simply very strict similar to how Director Clavell is and these types of rules have hurt people in the past. Specifically Guzma and team Skull and Giacomo from Team Star even resembles Guzma as well. Even if a villain, probably not an evil villain.

Geeta = strange questionable human behavior (N? or another AI? Area Zero = AZ from X&Y Glimorra = otherwordly poison/rock reference to ultra beasts JUST A THEORY, but i believe the DLC will have a huge component involving ultra wormholes as well as the (future/past) timeline.

Tbh the elite 4 does feel like a secret society this time around, especially with Geeta's eye logo everywhere. I feel like the rest of the gym leaders aren't high enough to know more information, but the elite 4 definitely do, yet they may not know everything. Of course, the trials are to see you're worthiness to be a champion, but this time I feel as if that's not the only thing it's checking your worthiness for. Plus everything feels so... corporate? Way more than SWSH was. Like a shady business

Geeta's design is strange with the suit and slender build making her look slightly androgynous, other characters have striking or colorful designs while her's are dark and complementary, also Geeta is the only character with yellow highlights in her eyes. Her introduction is also suspicious since Geeta doesn't mention her status as top champion or La Primera until Nemona tells you.

Some potential basis to Geeta being almost ethereal in nature (whether a pokemon, another creature altogether, etc) is looking at her original concept art. Maybe it was unintentional, but it was very much almost uncanny valley like, just a bit too long of legs, fingers and feet for her actual stature. Something that's a mimicry of human, but still just a bit off.

It does feel like the gym leaders do not particularly like her for some reason. For all we know she is also a Robot and the real Greta went back in time/forward in time. It is implied by her pokemon she has been in area zero.

Her connections to Glimmora (a prolific Area Zero Pokémon) and the fact the Pokémon League is the one manufacturing and distributing Tera Orbs makes me think she might be involved with the 3rd legendary and know a lot more about the Professor's plans and the 3rd legendary. My fingers are crossed that she and the other professor are the villains in the DLC.

Geeta certainly stands out from the rest of the cast. I'm not convinced that she holds a key to the future DLC or stories in Paldea (she may just well and truly be an odd person), but there are a lot of interesting coincidences that could suggest otherwise. I find it odd that the player character and Nemona fight a Glimmora at the first Area Zero research station, when you have to fight Paradox Pokémon at the other ones. Nemona specifically calls out that Glimmora is one of Geeta's Pokemon at the start of the battle. Glimmora's Pokedex entry also notes that it's petals are similar to the Tera crystals. All that being said, it wouldn't surprise me if Geeta did have a connection to Area Zero

I genuinely don't think Geeta is bad or "malicious" per se. She just shares an intensity similar to Nemona that rubs most of her employees/peers the wrong way. Either because they're very individualistic, or because they really don't have many aspirations besides collecting a paycheck and surviving (i.e. Larry.) It is also fascinating that this generation sees almost all gym leaders interfacing with their position as an afterthought. They've all been conscribed due to their significant skill, but truly their allegiance at the end of the day is to their select profession. I can't think of too many gym leaders in the past that acted like that. Elysa in Unova is similar, but she seems to be the gym leader first and folds modeling in second. That being said, I DO believe Geeta has her fingers in somewhat dubious pies. It's stated in the game that she has a significant hand in making/distributing/and formalizing the tera orbs. And if we find out tera power is created via baby tears, then I could see her being pretty reprehensible. But no more than Turo or Sada who actually created that technology. And I don't see there being any dark secret to the tera phenomenon personally. In the end, I think Geeta and the gym leaders' butting heads are just the nature of their big personalities and nothing more. I look forward to seeing more about Geeta, but more so about Clavell and Jacq! Because I think all three of their stories are much more intertwined than we've seen! They all certainly have ties to Sada/Turo. I'm curious about what their past looked like.

The thing that really does it for me about Glimmora is that the game makes a point to say you can find this pokemon in Area Zero, and it's the same as Geeta's. When you get down into Area Zero for the first time, you and Nemona end up fighting a Glimmora and she points out that it's the same kind as Geeta's, and she didn't know there were any down here. They could have picked any other pokemon, they could have just not commented on it, but they did, and that feels very revealing to me.

Did nobody else check out the zero lab above the crater before taking the plunge? When I got to that point in scarlet I figured the orange door lead to the past version of area zero, and the blue door went to a future version in violet. The door is interactive in both games and isn't used at all in either. My bet is she's aware of the 3rd legendary and closed off access due to the danger is poses. The 6* raids are supposed to be beyond any known trainers and even after winning we are told to be extremely careful, and those are just the result of a bit of extra power leaking from the crater. The 3rd legendary has to be way beyond that canonically

The only pokemon that I didn't really like was her gogoat, my biggest issue was that she didn't lead with her ace making it's ability kinda usless and it would've been fresh to see a champion lead with their ace rather than saving it for last like we've grown accustomed to

Hearing this theory I think Greeta is a bit sus...most of us probably didn't notice that when she comes to your dorm room...it does a first person scan from her view as she eyes your room. But not only that but she stops on the picture on your desk that has you and your friends plus.... ta-da Koraidon or Miraidon in it. People kind of give your Legendary the title of Guardian of Reality because you and it save the world from a dream gone wild. She was begin nosy because you remember Clavell refuse to tell those in the region what you did in the crater...but she keeps popping up as if she is trying to get information.

Also that little scene where nemona and the main character battle that glimmora in area zero. Where nemona talks about it being geetas ace. Like that scene was so unnecessary… unless they were trying to foreshadow.

Can Glimmora be somehow a reference to the ultimate weapon that AZ used to revive his floette?!? If you see the ultimate weapons image, it appears to be in the ground and opens its back to release energy... It is the same thing with Glimmora on the walls... Its back is open almost revealing its powerful side?!?! It is circumstantial and a HUGE coincidence. But, It is very highly likely WAIT.... What if the time machine wasn't just to revive the past pokemon but to revive the WAR in kalos?!?!?! Was the pokemon used in the war came through?!?! Is that what Geeta is up to? Is she an AI? Like DAMNNNNNNN Wait i maybe onto something!

Her team imo should’ve been something like Lead glimmora Palafin Armarouge/ceruledge Gholdego Baxcalibur Ace kingambit The idea here being This is the top champion She should have Pokémon that are strong and also rare. All but Baxcalibur are Pokémon I don’t remeber seeing a trainer use in game And I think you could easily miss seeing all 6 if you didn’t actively search them out

Spoilers for The Endgame of Scarlet & Violet; DO NOT READ FURTHER, UNTIL YOU’VE BEATEN THE GAME We learn about how Sada/Turo were killed in an accident in Area Zero, where in the 4th laboratory, the second box-art legendary run amok and maimed the late professor. What if Geeta played a part in that though? What if she had some part in releasing Paradox Pokémon into Paldea, by releasing the 2nd box art from the Time Machine, and had it kill Sada or Turo? Despite being champion, she seemed pretty unfazed by Great Tusks/Iron Tread running around in the desert, even though it was causing earthquakes. She was more interested in a trainer who just moved to Paldea having a rivalry with Nemona than a paradox Pokemon causing natural disasters.

The main reason I think geeta could be a villain is because she’s the top champion. I’d say the player character will get to become the top champion after the dlc, because it wouldn’t make sense for it to be impossible for the player to become the top trainer in the region. So geeta would have to lose her position. It would make sense if geeta were to be villainous, and be kicked out after the public finds out, for the player to become top champion.

Her character was just so lame. Like sure her design is cool but her team is bad the battle was easy and she doesn't contribute at all to the story besides like encouragement. Hopefully she has some big plot twist in the dlc but I don't want her to be another android. Like maybe she was also working with the time machine or like the pokemon of ruin. I feel like someone with her status should've known something about the events of area zero and the paradox pokemon. And that leads me to another thing, at the beginning of the game Clavel is like "professor don't tell me you actually did it" or something like that so why didn't he look into area zero and the professor or at least tell Geeta.

I'm kind of half and half on this.On one hand, yeah I would like the Champion-Route to have something more interesting about it. This route's story is very cookie cutter, it's every other gen's story but I can't help but think that it's also kind of the company playing it safe? There was such a whiny outcry about wanting change to the same-old system, we got the change in Gen 7, and then the outcry promptly took a 180 and got dialed up to 11. I don't think they're ever going to release a main series game ever again without the Gym-Champion Route to fall back on even though there have been plenty of Pokemon spin-off games without it that are beloved by fans (IDK, Fandom is weird?). Scarlet and Violet have a decent story with the Team Star Route and a Great Story with the Titan-Route, but I don't believe they would have dared to write those stories without that Gym-Route safety net or they'd be ripped apart again for daring to try something new. Every Gen's new gimmick post Gen 6 has been ripped apart by fans upon its very introduction because "It's not mega-evolution". As for why I'm bringing all that up, is that this also extends to champions in fandom. If the Champion follows you around giving you things to progress, some Poketuber will whine: "They're just a glorified item-giver" and also sarcastically state: "Gee, I wonder if the adult following me around and giving me things could possibly be the Champion?" This was most prominent with the likes of Steven and Cynthia. Then when the Champion is not the obvious adult following you around a Poketuber whines again: "Why are they champions - they haven't done anything in the story and have barely interacted with me!" Champions like Wallace, Diantha and Iris fall here. I kind of understand if the company has thrown up their hands at this point and just created a very generic character in Geeta. If they make her too involved, she's too obvious, if she gives you items to progress or help you she's a glorified item giver, if she barely interacts with you she's not worthy of being a champion because she hasn't spent the journey constantly interacting with you, because apparently spending all of your time talking to a self-insert is what makes you worthy of the title for some reason? Again, I want there to be more to Geeta but the Champion Route is every other game's route. It's the same thing fans threw a hissy fit about when the games tried to do something else and it's exactly what the company wouldn't dare to keep out of the game. Why try? Why be innovative here? It only ever got them scorned. Better to play it safe, mash together Cynthia's and Steven's appearances and give her just enough of the non-involved champion's-like dialogue to be vague, put it beside two superior stories and let the fandom write it themselves. Less effort on their part, less resources to use and the fandom does the work for them. I hope I'm wrong and there is something more interesting, but I'm not holding my breath. I think it's more of a case of the Champion Route is boring and it's now just more obvious to everyone because it's sitting right next to superior stories and that contrast made it easier to see.

What if Geeta just had a bunch of op legendaries on her true team which she probably stole or mind-controlled and her trashy team on her champion battle was because who wouldn’t be suspicious of her having the team of a 10 year old with gameshark.

The first thing that really unsettled me about geeta is that…she knows where I live…in the post game, after you rematch the gym leaders, she gives you a call, and if you ask how she got your number, she says that she knows the phone numbers and address of all the champions…and in your dorm, before asking her questions related to the gym rematches, she says, and I quote “in the near future, perhaps I’ll pay your family’s home a visit, if I may…” there are a lot of memes about Nemona having Yandere-esk lines, but to me those are only like that because they were taken out of context…this line from Geeta is creepy even WITH context…it’s supposed to be a friendly visit…but that line sure as hell doesn’t FEEL friendly

Bro she's a villain I'm sure of it. Think about it. None of the gym leaders like working for her. Glimmora is related to the crystals in area zero and she also seems to be "too" easy as if she's playing the fool. It's not just Gamefreak being bad team designers. She spends the whole game seemingly studying you. She has a cold businesslike vibe. I wouldn't be surprised if she knows something about area Zero.

Geeta also reminds me of a certain lady who got her brain poisoned by a jellyfish from another dimension... huh.

I just finished my playthrough a couple hours ago. I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds Geeta, odd. She and Clavell are my main villain/suspect in this game.

If only all our theories about her were canon, but TPC is too family-friendly for that and all the USUM Lusamine thing proves it :( Something I noticed is that Geeta particularly bothered by Larry (all his constant speeches on how he'll have his earnings reduced and such), and it's easy to understand why: he is the only gym leader that is also part of the E4, unlike the other leaders, it is his only job. If the E4 knows something about her, he's the most likely to leak some info to other gym leaders or trainers. That's why she constantly keeps a tight rein on him. Because, really, why else would she be so adamant on remembering him about a salary cut? He's not the party-hard type who could stain the league name, the only thing he does is eat after work and even so, after the rematch he says again he was strictly ordered to waste no time there, so the guy leaves without even get a takeout for dinner (oh well real life, but still)! Aside Larry what else do we have in E4? A highly emotional teacher; her right-hand person; and a toddler who can easily be manipulated by her right-hand person; Larry was the only loose knot until Geeta started to harass him with all the 'salary cut' thing. The guy now is a sealed tomb. I'm not a pokémon expert myself, but looking at the gym leaders Larry would be the one with the biggest chance to defeat her, right? (with no overlevel I mean) Normal type has huge problems with only glimora and kingambit, Geeta doesn't have a fighting type to HK his team and even if she had, the guy has a staraptor. I also have my two cents on here behavior, but I'll finish my comment here, it's huge already lol

When I saw geeta I got chairman rose vibes. When I heard the story of the paldean king I started to wonder if she was t related in some way.

Geeta's outfit screams villainous order, like in SMT, where the law routes are typically lose any free will. The combination of purple and black also give off a sinister look, and her eyes are kind of emotionless

Great vid and totally agree! I think Raifort is more an obvious villain but i think the two of them may be working together on something especially since the time machine was left a sitting duck at the bottom of the crater. Also a bit of a nitpick but it's "la primera" not "la primavera". Primera is Spanish for "first", as in the #1 trainer, Primavera is spanish for spring (the season).

I actually think the pokemon league in Paldea is not doing well because there aren't many challengers. I find the trainers(and Geeta) except Nemona and a handful of main characters during my playthrough hilariously weak compared to previous games. Trainers out in the world don't have more than 1-4 mons generally, and seem to spend their time goofing around doingg their own thing, and dialogue suggests they aren't actively interested in doing things like the gym challenge for the sake of a challenge. Despite the teachers at the academy mentioning some students do the gym challenge as part of the treasure hunt, that doesn't seem to be the case. Seems there doesn't seem to be interest in hardcore battling amongst the students, more like casual battling for fun, which is why everyone is so intimidated by Nemona. If interest in battling was so high, wouldn't there be more people trying to battle her at school for fun or for the challenge? Especially as a champion ranked trained more accesible then the actual champion. Additionally i think the pokemon league's close ties with the academy is motivated by a desire to encourage more people into entering the gym challenge. By teaching pokemon related things they hope to encourage the students into being more interested in battling, like how some companies would collaborate with schools to make training programs and such, then yeet the students who are in the programs when they graduate. However the program is failing to spark interest in hardcore battling amongst the students and it directly effects the league (the big dropout event that happened during the backstory also probably did not help). Some other things they do to spark interest in battling is hand out "champion ranked trainer" titles like candy to whoever beats the league. As a prestigous bait for any glory seekers. But really i have not seen mention of anyone wanting that title for glory besides Nemona going Nemona on us (unless i missed npc dialogue) And lastly i'm not economics major but League points being 1 : 1 conversion with actual curency must have some consequence right? 🙄

I keep thinking there's enough stuff for a sequel, honestly. Like I can easily see them doing more with Penny and the team star stuff. In fact I almost wonder if she hires Penny either because she was afraid of what Penny discovered or was about to discover. I can easily see them integrating some way of the character time traveling themself, even. Especially since we've got all the Hisuaiian forms that are seemingly extinct. Or show "original forms" of some fossil pokemon. It seems like they really set up a lot of potential for DLC, but it also seems like they set up a lot for a sequel.
