@@davidstargle5123 The horns don't seem to taper as much as the S-1's I've seen. It does almost look more like a Gibson Les Paul DC. Whomever fitted that for a Kahler was a madman. Which was the style at the time...

@@naughtscribe maybe, The S1 custom I had was more of an SG style body carve but the older models are more squared around the edge, like the earlier S1 elites, either way pretty crazy to throw a kahler on it, but to each his own.

It still messes with my brain those 80s Vs with Kahlers have such high asking prices. In my early 90's head, they are still $500 guitars that were hard to sell because nobody wanted them except me.

That first one is 100% a refinished Schecter S-1, they've done a few set neck with string thru models over the years. It was my first guess just from the first photo but the real big giveaway on it is the weird comfort cutaway where the neck meets the body.

The epiphone double neck is factory, I have one as well from the late 90’s, spec’d exactly the same with the low tail pieces, flames, uncovered pickups on the 6 neck

On the epiphone double neck I believe all of them have the tail pieces placed far back and the pickups are generally if not always one set covered and one set uncovered. Also the three switch layout is on all of them I believe. Also a point to note is that Alex Lifeson’s double neck and Gibson signature double necks have the three switch layout as well.

Kahlers usually have a tiny hex bolt in back, that locks em down... Leaves you with a hard trail, with precision tuners.

Hi Trogly, I can confirm that Épi double neck is factory condition, it’s the same as mine, flame veneer, cover less pickups on the 6 string and 3 switches.

Mystery Guitar is a Schecter Scorpion with the more traditional (rickenbacker 60’s acoustic whale tail inspired) headstock, multiple head stock shapes on that body style over it’s life time, and the volute was used on a few Scorpion variations

I own one those 2004 Epiphone 1275s veneers on the top and back, it is stock with the Jimmy Page styling with the uncovered on the 6string and pushed back tailpieces, however the contour isn't quite the same. The toggle at the tail pieces selects the neck, one in the middle for the 12 pickups and one at the treble of the 6 controls the pickups on the 6. I love mine though a forever guitar for me

Best of my knowledge, all Epiphone 1275's have the Page style further tailpiece, uncovered pickups, and 3 toggle switches. Mine does anyway. Also seen many with the flame tops.

I have an old Ibanez double cut that looks very similar and it has the same volute as well. The horns on mine are a bit shorter, but the rest of it is pretty close.

I bought a 2020 limited edition Epiphone G-1275 in white (really wanted one in cherry, but the veneer that they were using on the cherry top, just looked cheap and cheesy). It has the same Jimmy Page layout of 3 Toggle switches and the long throw tail pieces. But as far as double necks are concerned, I much prefer my 1980's Hondo 2 Professional, Longhorn (shaped like a Lyre), built at the Matsumoku factory in Japan, over the Epiphone.

Wow - Gibson prices are crazy! Haven’t been paying attention for the last few years. Still kicking myself for selling my ‘71-‘72 LP Custom in the mid 90’s, but it really sucked. 3 piece maple top, sandwich body, seriously low fretwire, weighed a ton, and just sounded muddy. $1k was what those 70’s models were trading hands for back then, and I couldn’t afford to just stick $1k on my wall as art instead of an instrument to play.

I only remember 2 double necks in my time there, 1 white SG for Lzzy Hale and a white Explorer that split in 2 for Jason Hook. That one was pretty wild! Another excellent and informative show Trog!

Hey Trogley it has the strap button on the horn & the shape of the back pot cover look just like my Hofner Colorama. I suspect my Hofner was made by Carvin/Keisel (the pickups have 91 in the code on the sticker.

That's almost certainly an old schecter S-1 with some kind of "gibson" head grafted on and moded to death. Woulda had a string thru hardball and was probably 299 when it came out brand new in like 02 from what I remember, I could be wrong tho. Hate to see what was a genuinely good value guitar get destroyed and made into a worthless counterfeit

I find that Brian Mays version of that double cut is very similar to Gibson's . Well the Rick Beato and the one you showed for comparison that was red. If you eere able to get a double neck with the dragon on it there shoiuld be adragons head on each headstock so you could call it a two headed dragon.

I had a epip double neck like that i brought it for 600 sold it for 1200 but thats NZD yes that is the correct pickup config and the tailpiece was set back i regret selling it but at the time i was fresh out of music school and needed cash and wast going to sell my Gibson Les Paul or my epiphone 345

The shape + the string thru + volute tells me it's a Diamond Series Schecter or the later import equivalent. No way anyone was stupid enough to convert a USA model.
