The way that I see it, Alem is now at the same level as Codfish where he's made such a big name for himself that a lot of people will show bias whether the round is good or not. Alem is a very skilled beatboxer and definitely deserves his title as world champion, but the new school game deserves some recognition and if they do good and everyone else agrees that they should've won, the bias should be completely eliminated. ZVD took this battle 100% especially reading the comments of the original video. That's why there's so much respect for D-Low because he already won the GBB and now he's just making his own tracks. He doesn't need to continue to prove himself. Alem once again, very skilled beatboxer and full respect to him, but his name is too big now and a lot of people lose respect over the judges decision.

you have a point but I think alem is just to good to beat. alem is insanely technical and has good presence. zvd sounded like he always does and he was to closed off, he also made a couple of mistakes unlike alems flawless takes.

@@wishtheyunderstoodme I do agree with you that ZVD made mistakes, but his round's still had near flawless clarity, while Alem sounded muddy in some parts. And while I don't agree that ZVD sounded "like he always does," Alem sounds the exact same as usual. I do think it was a close battle but if you read this battle on a scorecard, ZVD should've won. Alem takes technicality but ZVD takes musicality and clarity by a mile.

I think alem won the battle because of the judges and crowd the control.When it comes to pure performance and a structure I don't think so. Plus he is more famous than ZVD obviously he is the crowd favorite and judges favorite too I guess . . 3 judges are came from old school era basically they understand what alem did. And 1 judges is French guy.But pipouni did the right decision kudos to him. But big respect to alem his a legend and master piece. But ZVD is more creative and musicality and he also did some techniques. He deliver the new flavor of beatboxing. It's clearly ZVD. No doubt

As a guy who has been listening and doing (basic) beatbox even tho i understand the complexities of it, It comes down to what the judges prefer, both of zvd's rounds are old rounds that hit hard but maybe theres fatigue, alem is using the same sound but other than tigershot everything is pretty much freestyled or new because thats how alem battles, if i had to take a guess alem sounded more powerful live which is nothing new, ZVD had better structuring but alem was extremely complex and its hard to battle him because of all those factors, the battle couldve gone either way but with the panel being full of tech beatboxers who understand how dificult it is to do what alem does they voted for him in a 4-1 fashion but it looked like a really close 4-1. Shoutout ZVD because he killed and can learn a couple things from this battle, alem took control of the battle and his stage presence was better and its crazy that alem has been doing this for like 15+ years and since 2012 he has been doing this at a worldwide high level but it takes a trained ear to understand alem sometimes

One of a good few robberies in this battle and some other recent ones. I love Alem and am a massive fan, but even when I'm a fan of someone, I try to be completely objective when watching a battle. For me, ZVD absolutely took this. In the comments of the battle, some people were saying that ZVD was just spamming sounds and that Alem was more varied, but it's the opposite!!! Alem spammed very similar techniques in every round of FBB.

@bigdave4400 he wasn't lol, 2 completely different styled routines, using sounds that you also used in a different routine isn't considered spam because if that's the case then everyone in beatbox is a spammer so the word loses it's value. Spam is when you use the same exact thing over and over, I don't understand how you think he sounded repetitive lol. Now if this 2021 - 2022 ZVD then yea he was repetitive asf and spammed a lot, he grew and improved greatly since then and added many new sounds and styles to his repertoire. You can use the same sounds you use in previous routines as long as you use it in a different way each time, if you think that's a bad thing then you think most beatboxers are bad, including most legends lol. So no, he wasn't repetitive, he was actually switching it up a lot stylistically meanwhile Alem didn't do that at all.

9:39 you know there is bias when somebody tells ZVD to shut up, that's either cause they know ZVD also repeats the same drops over and over again and they find it hypocritical, or just cause he's talking during Alem's rounds, I don't know

To be fair watching this battle did make me very confused.I thought zvd clearly won round one, and even still alems second round was nuts (imo) but what leaves me confused is the 4-1 judge decision but hey...the game is the game i guess...

Alem breaks down beatboxers a lot. He has a really good ear. As far as the results I can hear zvds monitors redlining in that first high pitched bass drop and I feel his structure slipped timing a couple times. I wonder how much post production is effecting what we hear compared to live

As long as we have French judges we will always have French winners. Check GBB championship and you will see another robbery just as big as this one. Sad thing is I love the French outside of them judging beatbox.

This is the problem i have seen with alem in recent years championships .alem came out strong in intial rounds and once he in semi finals ,he starts forcing beats that sound quite repetitive .

Really good round for ZVD but , u guys need to understand how battle work. Yes ZVD had more ''fresh'' sound and round that make u think that's better than Alem Round but battle its not about this. Alem is way more powerfull than ZVD he answers to everything ZVD do, he got the crown with him like, can u here how ppl said ''TIGER SHOT'' that was so loud. So yes big round for ZVD but Alem won that..
