My mom recently got assaulted at normal peak hour at 1.08.2024 at 7.30pm she was heading back from her salon towards my cafe and two of the youngsters hit her with wooden stick on her head and she well on road as we got to know from the cctv footage from nearby home police is still not able to find 2 guys who did this she is in ICU from last 10days due to major head injury happening such event have scared me all my family member that nagpur is not safe and even at station from where the incident happened is 100mtrs away

Being from Nagpur. It's not at all safe. We don't move out at odd timings. They don't switch off the lights at night...it was because of rain. But police does patrolling at night past 11.

being a nagpuri i felt unsafe even in day hours ... weird staring , eve teasing , stupid drunk men following around , literally cant sit at futala { there is specific location where most men smoke and drink } alone if you do you will find yourself surrounded by men all looking at you . I did had multiple episodes baki kuch nai i love my nagpur . Its just certain species which you will find almost every were you go in india.

I was born and raised in Nagpur, and I've always felt safe here. I've never had any unfortunate incidents so far, though there are times when you need to be cautious and use your judgment.

The problem starts when the immigrants or the outsiders come in and try to settle in the city. The outsiders always bring in their rough attitude, their culture from their own states, and create the unsafe environment in the city as they do not consider any responsibility or accountability for their rough or bad attitude towards the local. Local people never ever have bad behavior considering they are local and they may the same issue one day by themselves. Nagpur, being the city that is in the heart of India, a lot of outsiders come in for work or for other reasons and try to influence or impose their own culture or bad attitude or how they behavein theirown state. While you create an opinion about any city, you need to consider all such aspects.

It's understandable that people might look at you if you're out on the streets at 2 am holding a camera and filming others. This reaction isn't necessarily because you're a woman; a man would likely attract the same attention in similar circumstances. This is not unique to Nagpur; in any city around the world, people would notice and talk about someone filming at that hour, regardless of gender. Having lived in Nagpur my entire life, I felt that the makers were perhaps trying too hard to depict the city as unsafe. Additionally, not every city has the same personality. Just because a city like Indore might stay lively throughout the night doesn't mean the same for every other city. Nagpur, for instance, is rather laid-back, and its nightlife has only recently begun to develop. And no city is perfect anyway!

As an nagpurian. Nagpur is safe for women compared to Mumbai and Pune. But it's still not a safest city for women that's why every women in Nagpur arrived at home by 9 to 10 pm but some men's will stare you because you are the only single women roaming freely at night holding camera. And yes nagpur is an developing city so the population is perfect to control crime compared to over populated cities like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi etc.

Roaming around the nagpur while holding camera on the hand isn't usual like mumbai and delhi, like you always see people making videos n all stuffs here and there...

I am a guy and i roam around nagpur in late nights and trust me it usually safe in the areas which are quickly accessible to polics but in areas which have a nearby slum its worse and thats because nahpur has almost 10-15 slums but if you are near civil lines and dharampeth you wont be in that much of a danger

This video is misleading. Nagpur is a very safe city. Especially west Nagpur. There are going to be a few creeps everywhere doesn’t mean that the city per se is unsafe. It is still a developing city, the concept of women out on the streets after 11 pm is foreign to people here so of course people are going to stare.

Few things to add Police actually makes you go home post 12 at night Every Nagpur home have vehicles which is why they don't walk at all so you won't see that sort of crowd of people Walking here so it feels deserted Also yes people don't go out here in night because there is no infrastructure and not many places to visit to What makes the difference is here would be Nagpur people are very helpful generally compare to Mumbai and Pune

Mominpura is the safesttttttttt for women. I live in Mumbai but I am from Nagpur Mominpura trust me u can roam without fear even at 2-3am .. bcoz ders so much chahal pahal across this area.

I am from Nagpur but just wanted to tell that here it's a law that after 10pm if a girl feels safe then there is a special helpline number only for women with the help of which police van along with a male and 2 female officers come and drop you off to your house for free.

You should do a study and find out the amount of non-locals staying in Nagpur. Immigration can significantly change the safety culture of any city. So a study should be done.

I would say that Nagpur is a second-tier city. A few of my friends who grew up in northern states but moved to Nagpur for work believe it’s one of the best cities to live in.

Nagpur is not even safe in daytime. I got flashed by same person twice. I was all alone that time, gladly i ran away. He was covering his face so couldn't see much of his face but he was on bike. He could've done worse things but i ran away. And the road was behind my college and it's mostly empty. Women are not safe anywhere. It sucks because you can't leave your house alone at night.

nagpur is not a populated city like mumbai or delhi you will find less people at night after 11 :00pm .95 percent people would be already asleep, and if you travel with camera filming around at 1am obviously people would be staring at you it is not like mumbai pune delhi working and partying day night here people prefer to sleep take rest at night If you really want to know about nagpur get up at 5 am and go for a walk with the senior citizens they will tell you about nagpur history .....

Being a nagpurian want to tell you something about lokmat square. From last few months lokmat square is being getting famous for prostitutes at midnight and that is why everyone there was running away from you and also was thinking that you are recording for any kind of news.. police raat ko sab ko ghar bhagane mei rehti hai but iss lokmat square ke taraf kisi police ka dhyan nhi hai.. pata nhi Aisa q?? If you can raise a question about it in some way in your video it will be really very helpful coz normal doesn't feel good about lokmat square getting in this way..

I live near RSS headquarters, and that area is not safe for both men and women at nights...because men have been murdered twice in this area in past decade. Also, police station is very close yet half of the area is not in their jurisdiction for some reason, so theyre kinda helpless.

There might be many creepy people at night but not all. If i see girl at night my first thought wld be is she ok or she might be lost or does she need some help. Again creepy world should be gender neutral i have seen women stand at some lonely place probably doing some incident stuff.
