I'm sorry to hear about Terry! They hide their illnesses until its often too late to help them. I wish they could just tell us.

Sorry about your loss. Even though most people might consider animals like goats as livestock, we get attached to them like any other pet.

Do you leave your chickens on the tractor at night? Do they sleep well without a roost? Growing grass is tricky! Sorry to hear about the loss of an animal. So sad and especially for the kids.

Thank you. Yes the kids were pretty upset. We do leave the chickens on tractor until they are old enough to be with the older birds. They tend to sleep under the covered portion. It takes them a day or 2 to catch on to roosting but learn pretty quickly from the older hens.
