Thank you! Basically, after being put into the prison for so long Dream kinda just lost his emotions. Mostly because none of his friends came to see him. So when he asked Sam to let him see his friends Sam made a deal with him. After going outside of the prison under Sam's watch, Sam alerted the server that Dream was out of the prison but was under his watch and had everyone go into an open field. There Sam explained that Dream just wanted to spend time with his friends! They all agreed to spend time with Dream. Karl was supposed to be telling one of his stories but I forgot the text, but during one of Karl's stories Dream found one of the parts funny and started to laugh. Causing everyone to be surprised since he had lost most of his emotions by then. Kinda long but I hope this helps!
