The scariest part of this movie is the medical bills she would have.

The "twist" was actually an easy guess early on. Not bad. It was well written, acted, directed, and all around crafted. Very enjoyable. It's just a predictable trope by now. The moment he said "I believe you", I said "he's in on it." It's honestly more realistic to start off with doubts.

Almost got the whole family reviewed on this channel “Mother!” Now “Son” waiting for “Father” and “Daughter”.

Excellent movie. Best thing about it is that to the very end, it keeps you wondering whether it is indeed "all in her head."

There was absolutely nothing that would have triggered a mental break before the dudes showed up in the room. Therefore they had to be real.

Did anyone suspect Paul straight from the start? He just seemed so obvious to me that he was in with the cult. I do like that the film needs to be watched more than once to see it from different perspectives. Amazing.

I must admit I didn't see that twist coming at the end either. They actually gave it away in the scene where Laura says to Paul that David likes him and that he doesn't like people that often. David liked Paul because he is one of his father's servant. Man, other thing. It wasn't a scary scene or something but when David started swearing at his mother like 'find me food bitch!'..I was terrified for a moment. You don't hear kids swear like that in movies nowadays so it took me off guard haha. That was also the moment I realised yup he is the devil's child☠

Uh. "relinquish" doesn't mean what you think it means. You can't relinquish someone else. You can ask someone else to relinquish something or someone.

The reason I enjoyed this was because it didn't give into the trope of it was all in your head. I always feel like my leg was pulled when there's no true horror

Something I (and you, too) noticed that went unexplained: traumatized Laura gives birth, then eight years later she's cleaned up, has a job that requires at least some college education, has a car, neighbor (Susan) and a nice house full of common folks things (on a teacher's salary???). While we can guess how she might have come by some of these things (the cult wanted her to live comfortably), how she acquired the rest (like a sterling resume and teaching certificates) is not addressed. I guess we can credit the demon with having the forethought that went into establishing her cover and making sure she met the right (disposable) people. The end surprise was pretty good though, and the acting okay. I'm glad to have watched the movie this way and not to ave paid for it.

Not sure how the cops could think the cult was fake even though they arrested a bunch of them. I get that they wouldn't believe what the cult believed but there definitely was a cult.

The twist in the end was actually pretty unexpected

Yeah that twist wasn't much of a surprise. I was like "Someone immediately trusts the protagonist? Yeah that-sa bad guy."

Once you mentioned Rosemary's Baby, then every person in SON was suspect as being part of a cult. Hence, no real surprise at all with Paul.

Paul being a member of the cult was obvious from his first seen.

The literal only reason I can even make it through a scary movie. Still can’t watch the movie in full, but this is close enough for me.

I wish the mom had decided to hunt down criminals to feed the son. They could be a great mother-son vigilante baddie chomping team.
