Found this song on Krzysztof Utbult's channel which is now gone. Loved the song as soon as I heard it, and couldn't wait to make a translation although it took some time before I actually did it.
The original video had a little audio from star trek I removed. The lecture part is from Dmitry Khaustov. Special thanks to "печаль будет длиться вечно" for transcribing the words, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to translate this song.
As always, changes were made to the translation to make it flow and sound better in English. A few of the notable ones are below:
"Forgive me if I don't come in tomorrow" is mostly on point, just the "in" was added to improve the flow.
"So the only way left to go is forward" was a bit hard, it can also be translated to something along the lines of "So now we can only go forward", or "There's only one way left to go, forward"
"I might be scared, but we have to keep going" is actually more like "Forgive me if I'm scared, but we have to try again". Changed to improve the flow, while the "Forgive Me" was actually only one translation I got, a few translations had it as "I may be scared" or "You can be scared" or "I can be scared"
"Wish me luck on this path" can also be translated as "Wish me luck on this road" or "Wish me luck along the way.
"we light fires" can also be translated more directly as "we kindle fires".
"You'll see me in your dream" more directly translate to "I'll be in your dreams". The translation in the video is more my own interpretation although hopefully it doesn't stray from the original meaning.
"Here's your sign" is actually directly translated as "I give you your sign" or something similar. Changed to improve the flow in English.
For the lecture, the translation is (hopefully) mostly correct, however the "which translates to the want for power or urge for power" is actually incorrect. In Russian, the words said all according to the dictionaries I used translated to "will to power", however saying "will to power translates to will to power" would sound very off in English. What's included in the video is essentially to make it so it doesn't sound crazy in English.
