Sure miss the late 90s and early 2000s when many new coasters came right up until now they stated going away! Nothing lasts forever though but just be happy what you got to ride and go too! Well I'm looking forward to see Kemah Boardwalk Bullet, Six Flags Over Texas Original Texas Giant, Six Flags Astroworld Texas Cyclone!
That's not accurate. Paramount, who operates Kings Island, fired the ride's manufacturer during construction which led to the design flaws that followed regarding its completion. The Son of Beast had problems starting with its debut year of 2000 in which it experienced a LOT of down time and the park acknowledged that the ride had "rough spots" in 2000. In November of 2000 Kings Island filed a lawsuit with all 3 companies that were involved with the design and manufacturing of the Son of Beast, that claimed defects in the ride's design which led to bad publicity in its debut year. Research has revealed that the ride continued to experience its share of down time in the years that followed, further negatively impacting its reputation. Then on July 9, 2006 a support beam failed resulting in 27 injured riders. A six year old ride had a support beam failure...that's ridiculous. I'd bet if you were one of those riders, you'd not only complain about the ride, and your injury, but you would want to sue the park as well, so do spare me your hyperbole about how much of a man that you think you are... back to my point... By 2010 the park manager publicly acknowledged that over 30 million dollars had been invested into that coaster which means it was not profitable to keep considering that the ride was already closed in 2010 and would never reopen after that comment. When you say "legions of wimps" you are acknowledging that a LOT of people, a likely majority, didn't like the son of beast very much. I mean, let's be honest here, legions is a lot of people. A great coaster does not have the problems that son of beast had, literally from the beginning. That tells me you're not very smart...at all. You are complaining like a Karen who did not get her way. That's a you problem, not a me problem. I would strongly suggest that you grow a pair and get over it, ya mook. ...and learn how to do some research for once in your mediocre existence.
