Ajay Devgan and Sonali Bendre, Bollywood actors speaks about Diwali celebration and their film 'Tera Mera Saath Rahe'. They say, "I used to celebrate Diwali with crackers like every Indian kid does and also perform the Diwali rituals now I have realised that these are just pollution so I only do Diwali prayer at home. The important thing in this Diwali is our film is going to release otherwise on every Diwali its just new clothes, Prayer and happiness.
There is also a festival 'Bhaiya Dooj' after Diwali so you get to meet all your cousins and everybody gets together and it's like a big party where family is concerned.
I won't call it a new genre but it's definitely a human story, it's a story of a man who has a younger brother who is handicapped and how all his life he has lived for him because there is nobody else who take care of him and he never want to marry and how he falls in love and the conflict starts.
My character in the film is a confident girl who comes from Delhi to Mumbai and the way we meet in the film is the good thing about film that the emotions are very real in the film."
