Sonam Wangchuk's speech after 9 days of hunger, in support Ladakh's demands

In this vedeo of Sonam Wangchuk's speech on the last day of his 9 days climate fast, he expresses deep frustration at the apathy of government of India in fulfilling the promises it made to the Indigenous people of LADAKH. The government and the ruling party had made promises in various official forums and election manifestos that the Ladakh will be declared a protected 'Scheduled Area' under the 6th Schedule of of Indian constitution. However three and a half years later they are not even including the people's demands in the agenda of the talks to be held between the home Ministry and Ladakh's leadership.

सोनम सर में आपका बोहोत सम्मान करता हूं और लद्दाख के लोगों के मांग का भी समर्थन करता हूं। सरकार आपके मांग मांगने में देरी करते देख आपका हताश होना भी समझ में आता हे, मगर आज आपका भाषण सुनके ऐसा लगा जैसे मांग मानने में देरी होने पर लद्दाख के लोग देश का साथ देना बंद कर देंगे! हम जहां तक समझते हे देश भक्ति कभी conditional नहीं हो सकता और लद्दाख के लोगों ने हमेशा प्रमाण भी दिया। सरकार देश चलता हे मगर कोई भी सरकार अपने आपमें देश नही होता ऐसे में आपका ये बात बोलना की सरकार का मांग मानने में देरी के चलते लद्दाख के लोग देश के साथ छोड़ सकते हे ये बात आपके मुंह से सुनना कुछ अच्छा नही लगा। आपको हम role model मानते हे और आपसे हमको हमेशा देश भक्ति का पाठ मिला, ऐसे में आपकी संबोधन के कुछ अंश से में आज आपसे सहमत नही हूं सर 🙏 उम्मीद करता हु जल्द ही लद्दाख के लोगों के मांगे सरकार द्वारा मान लिया जाएगा।
