The point of this video is to show how strong this stuff is without agitation, PERIOD. There has been a ton of controversy in the comments that I used too much cleaner. I understand the hate, but its a small bottle and only 8-12 wheel cleanings per bottle. But thanks for watching anyway.
There is a reason why this is the most viewed Sonax wheel cleaner video in the world. Why you ask? Because I was able to get the wheels 90% clean without touching them with a microfiber, or using any agitation whatsoever, nor did I use a pressure washer.

Look into Tuga gel wheel cleaner. For the price of a bottle you can clean your set of wheels about a dozen times and does a better job. CarPro-US has it.

You can use regular car soap in a spray bottle at a 1:10 dilution and it will get most of that off. This cleaner is good for the left over embedded stuff like seen in-between the spokes at the end of the video. The majority of that crap is actually loose and comes off pretty easily

Yeaahhh debatable. Some snow foams might help loosen some dirt and pull it off, but it’s got no chance at genuinely removing stubborn brake dust as demonstrated in the video. Sonax has acid in the cleaner

Washing wheels is hella easy wheel cleaners are a waste of money. Add some car soap to a spray bottle with water mixed in, spray the wheel with water first then spray the soap mix and get a microfiber glove agitate and rinse and you can skip drying them they'll be good to go

I guess its ok for demo purposes but normally I would go with pressure washer to remove easy stuff and pre-soak to minimize use of chemical and then use wheel cleaner.

Keep on top of cleaning your wheels then there’s no need for these chemicals. A rinse first then apply and agitate would have brought them up a treat. You don’t mention cost of Sonax. If it’s like BSD it should be good value. If not, recommend Bilt Hamber as a decent price good wheel cleaner

@@RiftValleyAquatics get some alloy wheel sealant. You literally just spray it on after cleaning the wheels (they must be dry though) and itll stop the majority of brake dust for around 4-6 weeks. Ive got a BMW 440i gran coupe and, like you say, the brake dust from the pads is ridiculous but sealants really help without any real effort. 👍

I don’t see why people are so nagative about this video. I see he was showing what just the product alone can do. Heck anyone can scrub a wheel clean. You can just about do it with just water. This was to show the product in action. Even if it’s not 100%, that wheel was filthy. I think it did pretty good.

It’s a ‘bleed’ cleaner, it’s actually a fallout remover loads of companies do, I always use it on more delicate wheel finishes as it’s usually ph neutral

I just started detailing last year! I have taken on big projects. Just to get better. Cleaning wheels and rims shouldn't be hard. Caked on brake dust. Even had a persons brake get stuck and tried to clean the welded steel particles off a chrome Cadillac rim. Got %90 off. Just need to find a great wheel cleaner. That works like it says it does. I think I just found it! Where can I buy this stuff? Shawn

The very best wheel cleaner, I think. But use it on wet wheels. I always use a special Sonax brush. Sometimes if the wheels are very dirty, I spray a second time to remove everything.

Samlez ja, er hat es falsch angewendet. Man soll den Reiniger auf nasse Felgen sprühen. Und das funktioniert ziemlich gut. Sonax hat auch eine passende Bürste, mit der das bearbeitet werden soll, er wollte hier aber zeigen, das es selbst ohne jede manuelle Bearbeitung schon einen sichtbaren Reinigungseffekt gibt. Also für Faule. Ich wüsste zu gerne, ob es einen besseren Reiniger gibt.
