Spoiler alert! I was sabotaged by the previous builders work again. I now need to order most parts to rebuild both stabilators, ailerons and now flaps. I did get to start on another task that was almost untouched before me so that is a start. The good news is that I am hoping that I have discovered most of the major mistakes at this point. I am actually happy that the plane will be virtually 100% my build from here on out and the only real downside is the waiting on the parts.

I think you may have coined a new EAA euphemism, "One rib short of a flap". As for inspiring the impulse to yell at the screen when you are sorting things out, well that's just more engagement, more fun. Fashion Rivnut holes before removing the center diameter to avoid distorting the skin.

Hahaha! That might make a good t-shirt slogan. I read your comment just in time because I finished the pitot tube hole and mounting plate today. I did just as you said and it definitely helped because I did have a slight issue drilling the 4" hole and ended up having to drill a lot of small holes around the perimeter and then finish it from there. Trying to center punch and drill those after the large hole was complete would have been a real pain. Thanks again!
