I re-watched this series over and over again to make sure that I didn't miss any subtle (really very) subtle hints between them. Like when Song Hwa happily got back to work after getting the result of her biopsy test (of course with Ik Jun by her side), Dr. Ahn offered to buy Song Hwa a coffee, Ik Jun had directly brought it to her, when she had to work late due to an urgent case Dr. Ahn left her an umbrella yet Ik Jun stayed waiting to drive her home, and how happy Ik Jun was when it finally rained and he rushed to see Song Hwa, the way he counted on Song Hwa with U Ju every time he had to leave the boy's side and the way he gently shared "Having a meal with you like this is a treat I give to myself" I mean, if they won't end up with each other in the end I am seriously gonna lose faith in relationships
UGH. I AM ROOTING FOR THEM. I FELT DEVASTATED WHEN HIS CONFESSION REMAINED UNANSWERED. WAITING FOR SEASON 2! ONE OF THE BEST SQUAD, KDRAMA AND CHARACTERS THAT I'VE WATCHED.
Ahhh... I love this edit!!! This is my favorite ship in the series (regardless of whether they end up together or not). Their love is an unspoken truth they share over the years. This ship didn't sail during their college days because it will end up hurting their friend who got rejected by Songhwa. It takes a lot of maturity and self-sacrifice for them to both choose this path. The way they protected the 5-friends circle for over 20 years is really admirable. But... like everyone else.... Season 2, chaebal *cries... Please let them be happy together.
I actually shipped dr. Ahn and song hwa but when ik jun said that he treats himself by eating with her i started shipping them so hard. Ahhh i want season 2 now 😩😭😭😭
From the subtle hints to even more obvious scenes, they're each other's first love. I am thinking that Ikjun is supposed to confessed to Songhwa on her birthday, he said 'my girlfriend is neat etc' to the jeweller because he is anticipating they would be, given that Songhwa likes him too but then his friend got rejected by the same girl on that same day and being the good empathetic friend he is, chooses not to meet her up to respect their friendship. And put it all behind--their feelings and focuses on their friend group & bond till it grew years but...feelings that are real is impossible to hide, they just keep showing and then bam! It explodes and so he confesses re;last few episodes. I must say Songhwa is really good at keeping it all in, since she's like this person in the middle that holds them (four), along those years, she chooses friendship for all of them to be together over his feelings for Ikjun that is a risk to take that might just ruin their circle. I'm rooting for them since the early episodes, such a shame we didnt get an answer, a conclusion to their loveteam. I am hoping they'll be endgame for season 2, then again the writer is really unpredictable, but let's summon a conclusion to this HAHA

Their love story is truly so pure and unconditional, loving each other for 20 years without wishing for more even though they did like each other that much :') [I mean at least Ikjun did, though I'm still betting Songhwa does, too. We just need to see her POV in S2!] They really better be endgame!!!
The scene where they were eating together at Ik Jun’s house was the BEST! Both of them are just so laid back and chill when speaking to each othe but the emotions are intense like you can literally feel the LOVE.
20 years of friendship is not gonna give us love line this quick in season 2 on these two, more stories on how they didn't (and couldn't or shouldn't) get out of friendzone will be on season 2, besides if they are together in season 2 that's not what song-hwa would do, hate it but i think need to wait til season 3 to see these 2 finally end up together
Chae Song Hwa always gets it whatever she has her mind on. But did anyone notice Ik Jun too gets anything whatever he intends to get or make it to happen. He did the make the bridge solid for Ahn Jeong and Jang's relationship, omit the barriers of understanding between Kim Jun Won and Ik Sun. Meanwhile both Ik Jun and Song Hwa open up Seok Hyeong's eyes about the perspective of moving on and being in relationship again with Chu Min Ha. After all of this both the psychic and cupid took care of their own relationship too! Hospital Playlist is such a story based drama where friendship and love both have been depicted in a stright line that they go side side instead confronting relationship. In this story big brother standing beside his sister intead of being grumpy for being in a relationship with his best friend. Proposing the only girl in a friend circle didn’t fade away the strength and colour of beautiful friendship after rejection and no one got awkward and every member of the circle is too well bonded to each other so that allowing anything to break their friendship on petty things like arguments over paying, giving treats is almost impossible! all of them are purely fun with every gathering they show us how close they are after work-hassle-tiring life as friend and working family.
I don't want to say something and expect it to happen to them but... Nah forget it.. I will just be happy for them.. but I hope my ship will sail.. Salute to the writer and director Shin PD.. you've made such a perfect drama.. and also to Jeon Mi Do who's first time on a TV drama but she nailed being a tone-deaf even though she's not she nailed her character and am I the only who's inlove with her?.. so thankful for Ik-jun amd Andrea (I forgot they're real names) for recommending Jeon Mi Do.. and Jun wan and seokhyong.. they're friendship is one of my dream✨♥️And also those people behind the camera.. thank you for your hardworks without you we didn't have this drama♥️

They're the definition of a good slow burn...we didn't get song hwa pov so I hope the writers won't rush them, I'm pretty confident that they're gonna be the endgame but I hope they take time. 20 years of friendship is no joke, we need to see song hwa's past pov and how she'll come to terms with everything... take your time babies

ok lemme talk about my imagination of this two in season 2 because it really drives me crazy curious. but what is actually the meaning of rain for them? like really its their own thing we dont even understand. maybe at first, songhwa will say like lets still be friends and ikjun heavy heartedly just agree to it. but as things go on, they will start to know how both of them feel to each other in the past. like ikjun will somehow know songhwa was already liking him in 1999, she got pretty sad with his marriage even him having son. and the other side songhwa will start to know that ikjun loved her too and lost his timing to seokhyung. after figuring about each other, they got too emotional at some point and im honestly curious with their first kiss. with what i saw like in TWOTM, adults kiss so hard damn it. i mean jo jung suk is such an amazing kisser and shin pd really has to make their first kiss scene as beautiful as possible lol. im rooting for their romantic moments!!!
Songhwa is the one who liked Ik jun first. First, she saw Ikjun in the show and saw he running out of the place then followed them. 0:35 her eyes seeked for position of Ikjun.

I always used to think the reason of Songhwa rejecting ik jun is she doesn't want to ruin friendship. Now I realized that I completely forgot the thungs that Songhwa rejected the other fri, saying she had a crush on someone.Maybe ikjun is her first love and she also got hurt as she coulnd't confess to him and just lost him to another woman. Maybe losing a chance once triggered her to not start their romantic relationship again
let's eat is the last thing song hwa request ik jun on his birthday which is rejected .I think ik jun may regret this and that is why we can see so many times ik jun ask song hwa to eat and drink together.it is so pity that they missed each other for 20 years.
