@@Cheeseman709if youre actually half asleep you can start hallucinating and hear completely original pieces of music. The problem is remembering or translating it. This happened to me actually this morning I woke up out of the trippiest dream imaginable then hallucinated that I was walking around my room in a highly inebriated state, then kept waking up and hearing plastic crinkling, people talking, traffic noises, and music. I would also hear my thoughts out loud and they would loop sorta like how if you keep repeating something it starts sounding like music, for an hour until I was too freaked out and managed to stay awake. But the scary thing is I kept hallucinating or “dreaming” that I woke up, and was out and about in my house when in reality I was falling back asleep. So in this state you can’t really move, at least I know I couldn’t. I know i sound crazy and I felt psychotic and its also scary because you dont know where your mind is gonna take you. But its a real thing called hypnagogia. It only happens to me sometimes. It does feel distinctly more vivid/real than dreams because your brain is actually still functioning and you can observe the real world

We often get ideas when get sleepy because brain is entering the alpha wave, which is induce feelings of calm, increase creativity, and enhance your ability to absorb new information.

My brain: *Gets best idea for an indie game* Me: GO TO SLEEP BRAIN IT’S 3 AM! My brain: INSOMNIA✨ …NOW WORK ON THE GAME
